And now as to what's going to happen next,
- I'm also of the opinion that all the promos, teasers and clips that are going around on social media are misleading because I can't for the life of me believe that the channel/makers/writers can be such buffoons to include a MR track at this point in the show, especially when it is nearing it's end. That's a HUGE risk and they wouldn't wanna go off on such a horrible parting note. Having said that, whatever happens next has to be equally "gore" or awful in proportion because nothing else would justify Meerub looking disheveled and traumatized. I think the following scenarios are likely to be the case in the order of them being the most likely one, imo.
Scenario 1 : Rohail gets killed.
I'd like to assume that Murtasim had sent Bakhtu and group to "teach Rohail a lesson" in a way that he backs off and leaves Meerub's alone. In that tussle, may be, something backfires and Rohail ends up getting killed at Bakhtu's hands or one of his men. That CAN and will push Meerub into that state because she will be traumatized knowing Murtasim got him killed. And no amount of explanation on his account as to what his true intentions were will do him any good because she won't believe him. Wantedly or not, Murtasim would be responsible for Rohail's death. That will also explain Murtasim's guilt and that mirror breaking scene. This scenario would also explain the way those two were sitting in horror and shock.
Scenario 2 : Murtasim traumatizes Meerub with his anger / possible physical abuse.
It's likely that Murtasim might scare Meerub so bad with the way he's going to express his anger and frustration for being slapped, spat upon and being accused of cheating on her. I'm not on Meerub's side with the bs she pulled off today and she's pressed Murtasim's buttons far too many times now. So, it's possible that in the heated argument that will ensue, he might execute some form of "zabardasti", that can be something as "little" (just using terms coming to my head rn) as pulling off her duppatta from her shoulder/neck, pushing her onto bed, screaming at her, grabbing her by hands or things of those sort. Now, as per the writers or the audiences, anything done in that aspect is going to have different definitions as to what classifies as "physical abuse", "zabardasti", or a "potential attempt at MR".
Scenario 3 : Marital rape.
Highly unlikely in my opinion but I have massive trust issues with how the most beloved or the most intelligent of shows that have betrayed my trust, so one can never be sure. Now, if they're going ahead with an MR track, the damage will be irreparable. Then, no amount of divorces or halala's or remarriages or redemptions or reasons will undo the damage done to the show and make the audience forget everything. At least not for me. Also, how they excute the scene if MR is intended/implied will not be explicit or graphic for obvious reasons. So, we will be explained with wordplay, interpretations or whatever that an MR has taken place which is why Meerub is traumatized, Murtasim is guilty and Haya takes the opportunity to hit the last nail into the coffin.
Scenario's 1 and 2 are the most likely ones and the ones I'm hoping for because I really liked this couple and had invested into a show/couple's story after way too long. So, I'd like this ship to sail. If Meerub leaves owing to 1/2, then a reconciliation is both possible and palatable. In the time that Meerub is away, Haya can convince Maa Begum to get her married to Murtasim as a second wife as Meerub kabhi wapus nahi aayega and blah blah and Meerub probably will make an entry in the last moment of Nikkah ke yeh eda banda mera hain, aur main pagal bandi iski hoon, get lost Haya, bye. And then that khet mein ek dusre ke taraf bhaagte hue aana khushi khushi might be the closing/end scene. If there's a daughter/kid being shown then it's not MeeraSim's kid unless an MR actually took place and depending on the timeline of the leap, if one is really going to take place.
