The entire business partnership thing is mainly to reunite the mothiwala family. I guess finally asfar will step up as a brother and support shehrish and help her with her child. He was extremely rude in the shehrish in the initial episodes and taunted her for her separation from her husband and the child being with the husband.

I noticed that this drama has unique surnames like aagas, mothiwalas, saiyyad. The surname of the fashion designer was also a different one. Don't remember.

@bold exactly. In the last episode it was clearly shown that asfar had no effect on what Aaliya said about partnering with shehrish since he was still adamant on not meeting her. It was shehrish who came on her own to meet him and he signed because she agreed to his terms and conditions. So Aaliya's competence and professional pov didn't matter much to him.

The soft side of asfar shown with his servant and his ex employee had nothing to do with Aaliya which is good. From the interaction it's clear he has been good to both of them even before Aaliya entered.

Asfar's character development or his feelings shouldn't be shown at the expense of compromising aaliya's characterisation. First Aaliya stepping over her professional line and fixing meetings on behave of asfar and getting away even without a warning and then that pen in the mouth while talking all looked out of place for Aaliya. She never behaved like that with shehrish.

But I feel like it's implied that the positive change in Asfar as mentioned by the retired lawyer is because of Aliya.
