It was shehrish who came on her own to meet him and he signed because she agreed to his terms and conditions. So Aaliya's competence and professional pov didn't matter much to him.
The soft side of asfar shown with his servant and his ex employee had nothing to do with Aaliya which is good. From the interaction it's clear he has been good to both of them even before Aaliya entered.
Asfar's character development or his feelings shouldn't be shown at the expense of compromising aaliya's characterisation. First Aaliya stepping over her professional line and fixing meetings on behave of asfar and getting away even without a warning and then that pen in the mouth while talking all looked out of place for Aaliya. She never behaved like that with shehrish.
