That’s not an accurate gauge of an artist’s talent. Talent doesn’t equate entertainment either, which is what the audience is always looking for. Amitabh Bachchan is very talented yet the man hasn’t had a hit in ages. Same for Manoj Bajpai or Nawazuddin, or the late Irfan Khan. In fact AB and Irfan’s last success may have been Piku 8 years ago.
Not a good comparison. Amitabh gets work as he was a superstar at some point and his name still gets more noticed compared to other unknown people.
Also he gets mostly supporting roles.
Rajkummar in contrast has never been a superstar or had BO draw of Amitabh.
Manoj is also an artsy type actor. More hit in web series than theatres.
Irrfan was a success on TV, few films and crossover or Hollywood. But flop otherwise.
I agree with others here who say maybe flop ones are more affordable and fit budget compared to big superstars.
He didn't produce Pathaan... 😉

OK, fair point about Amitabh Bachchan.
Rajkumar is known for being a very talented actor. Specially after Newton and then Trapped. Besides, it’s not like he’s never been in successful movies at all. Barielly Ki Barfi and Stree were huge hits, as was Queen but he didn’t have much to do in that one. But yes like I said on the first page, flop actors are a lot cheaper. And Rajkumar specifically has never been part of some big budget expensive movie, or event film as they are called nowadays and probably never will be as a main lead.

Point to be noted is that he is mainly a small budget film actor. But even alot of those havent turned profits. Big budget toh dor ki baat
I agree on talent of Rajkumar.
IDK if he deserves solo credit for hits you mentioned such as Stree.
His award or award of Taapsee reminds me of 80s phase of Filmfare where they gave awards to Naseer, Shabana and Jackie (Parinda), without bothering if film was hit or flop. So that they seem fair or seem like they reward talent and not just commercial success or popularity and are not sold out.
But mostly I still believe awards are rigged, sell out and Aamir, Ajay, Kangana were right to ban them.
People like Rajkumar, Manoj, Irrfan, Om, Naseer, Pankaj, Taapsee, Kangana, Tabu, Shabana, Smita etc are not mass actors.
They are talented but are seen mostly in web series or DVD or TV or online. They win over critics or few discerning fans but not masses.
They also lack star power or charisma or swag and screen presence to offer entertainment or escapism to audience or feed fans' fantasies.
I guess there is a reason they do not get big hype.
Maybe producers think they cannot carry a big budget film on shoulders. Though I agree on nepotism part and I remember our past debate and why you tag me in posts now. But I do think if the outsiders got as many makeovers, hype, chances as star kids do then all would do better than what they do as of now. If not become as huge stars as say, SRK.
Nepotism . Sugar daddism. 😃😉😆

So far it looks boring and SRK is having a Brad Pitt hangover. And it has Suhana, the worst actress ever to hit the industry. What do you think?...
