Karisma of today is a far cry from Karisma of 90s and 2000.

She totally changed after marrying that scum.

I have read how Saif, Bebo, Kapoors had helped her get custody of her kids. Getting divorced and getting her kids was not easy for her. I like how Bebo is protective of her till date.

Karisma looks weak and her voice is ruined. I agree her kids are not like other star kids and she keeps them away from limelight too. She is trying to keep them normal.

Karisma is too silent or probably too grateful to Babita for raising them as a single mom. She is unable to take a stand or disobey or defy her or say a word against her. I wonder if she ever blames her mom for ruining her life, even in private or in thoughts to herself.

I would say Babita was one hell of a selfish and controlling mom.

It's a sad story for Karisma, for sure. But it can't just be Babita. Most actresses from the 90s could not survive the paradigm shift that happened in the 2000s. Lolo's case is sadder because her own family inadvertently caused her downfall.

From being a huge A-lister to the 'retired older sis of Kareena", all her achievements have faded under the glory of her younger sister's success. She is always relegated to the background.

Bebo eventually proved her mettle though, but one can't deny how privileged and "lucky" she had been all along. She freely dated guys (Shahid, Fardeen etc), spoke sh** about her contemporaries, acted like a diva on sets and rejected roles...and still kept getting work. Babita never interfered in her career or love life.

Watch below video and in the end you can see Karisma holding back her tears, as contestants watched on her songs. Those tears were NOT of nostalgia. I personally think she looks back at her career and regrets all the decisions she took at the peak of her career.

That Sanjay Kapur chapter in her life tragic, considering it was an "arranged marriage" and Lolo did it purely because her family wanted to do it.

That whole episode definitely did a number on her. Her voice also changed quite unnaturally after that.

If you look at The Making videos of her old films, you'll notice that she used to be quite chirpy and vivacious.

No wonder, she keeps her kids away from the limelight. They do not look like typical star kids also.

OMG that video. It broke my heart to see her cry like that.

Lol why poor Babita always made a villain on this forum for Karishma been forced into films (it was her own burning desire and a promise to her dada ji Raj kapoor as she said in a video interview), getting married to sunjay ( karishma' own decision to marry her friend's brother) and now force to leave industry, I mean why someone call off her bright career and why she will obey all these things like some 10th century abla naari having no tongue in her mouth, while contrary to this the fact is that Karishma was quite a head strong, self decision maker and even kinda stubborn person as reported by various magazines during her hey days..

This forum and it's mind made dramatic sob stories, literally 😂

I am surprised Madhuri is winning. She was more of a dancer and an average to above-average actress. Tabu and Manisha were far ahead. But she was the most popular actress for sure.

Nice comedy going on here. Madhuri's acting was Tvsoapish, too melodramatic and playing her own self.

And I am surprised why she is winning with such little margin.

She should have won with atleast 60% total votes as she was miles ahead in popularity and talent then others, was a complete package and a wonderful actress besides an unmatchable dancer.
