Meerab is Alice. And seeing the last couple episodes with meerab being OTT when it comes to rohail and Maryam, she's fit into her new upside down world quite nicely.

Personally, I believe nooran even with her 5th century mindset and colonial beliefs, wrote this when she was high on something. Because even people with unkind values or different mindset can and do write well. I believe people can write whatever they'd like to. It doesn't have to make sense to everyone and be everyone's cup of tea. But when caricatures are served as serious work then it's just tasteless. They tried selling TB as something different with a non toxic hero and it's true to some extent but it's a mess when nothing else is developed. It's all a cartoon.

Meerab family snatched her dreams, made her marry forcefully, caged her in a house.

But meerab reaction towards them r shown as wrong. As if it is her mistake for being rude to that family.

Maa begum treats daughters as burden. Slaps , throws out daughter in law whenever she wants. But she is shown as respectful woman in the show who sacrificed everything for family.

Murtasim was shown saying he won't allow his sister to be a police officer even if she wants, he gives marriage solution when family planning how to control meerab.

If mariyum fears such family. Will she be wrong? It's known fact that women wishes won't be respected in khan family.

But by making mariyam lover a bad person, they r kinda showing khan family upbringing is right. They r right in controlling their women.

It's women fault to love, to dream, to not accept forced marriage.

The writing is such that murtasim dragging a woman (nyla) for his rival things is shown as right thing.

But meerab trying to help a woman (nyla) from not getting forced marriage is shown as wrong thing.

Many examples like it.

Recent one haya's forced marriage too.
