This is probably second time in his life he wanted something in life , first being his chahhat . We don’t know if he fought for it but clearly he had to let go off and for meerab he can and he is fighting with everyone, her, situations and himself too only for everyone to tell she is not his to fight for and finally to stand and see her not saying a word in his defence when he always stood up for her is death blow!

He is frightened poor boy of being vulnerable around her. Meerab is trying but she doesn't know to approach him yet. I look at that scene where he yelled GOOOOOOO, should she have stood her ground. Perhaps but this was the first time he has ever yelled at her, it hurt her more than that slap, her whole body jerked in shock and she ran away.

They are reflections of each other Meerab sukoon is a reflection of Murtasim's calmness. What he sees in her is a reflection of his soul. However when his inner peace is disturbed Meerab is also agitated and they don't know to console and find that inner peace again.

Irony being she is the only who can calm him down when he is angry, but when he is emotionally disturbed she hasn't been able to support him. Pacifying an angry husband is not the same as comforting a depressed husband. Looking ahead we look forward to how she does this.
