I know she was afraid because of that contract paper but what's the maid's fault in there? Is it the same meerub who said those "kyu ki woh nichi jaat ke aur tum unche, par main yeh saab nahi manti" to murtasim, post walima night?
I give her the benefit of the doubt because we have seen many instances of her never acting superior to others. She doesn't like women prostrating towards her in the panchayat, she talks to them like a friend trying to solve their problems. She has stated her views clearly on Walima night that she doesn't see class or status differences. She treats the help like equals, and when we are angry or anxious don't we sometimes misbehave with friends. She maintains dignity even with her enemies, if not she would have gloated over pixie massaging her feet. Everyone has bad days, we can't pounce on them to define her whole character. Pixie witch brings out the worst not only in Meerab but us tooooooo.
Now why would Feena care too hoots about Meerab, it is beyond just right vs. wrong, Meerab inspires loyalty like Murtasim does. Mayi asking where is Meerab, she knows who is on their side, who has their back, who cares about them. M&M just use different tools to achieve similar goals. BTW Murtasim Maharaj acts all superior with the help, if he wants them out of his sight he just glares. I love that he simply just scowls, 'I shall not waste my words BE GONE'.
It is another indicator of their impregnable bond, when it comes to each other Meerab and Murtasim both lose their heads. When Meerab was missing Murtasim lost his mind in worry, and now when Murtasim is in danger from harpie Meerab can't think straight and she lashes out. It brings me back to the first car crash, it was Murtasim rejection to marry her which ultimately causes her to drive off in fury. Not only can they talk each other off that cliff, they can also push each other off.
BTW Meerab also doesn't even put Murtasim on some shohar pedestal, he is her equal. Their equation is of equals despite him having physical power over her, she has the emotional upper hand.
