Imagine rooting for a person who basically abandoned both his wife and kid in the most brutal way possible by itv standards, to have his kid and hating on a woman who, for one of the very few times in the history of itv, chose to take control over her life completely and did what was the best fir herself and her child instead of putting up the farcical, stereotypical, "brave itv single mother" front and waiting around for her ml to come get her someday. People would rather have the female lead act like that doormat Preeti from Kabir Singh. Dialogue bhi bulwalo "Maine ek ungli bhi touch nahi karne diya tu chahe hazaron ladkiyon ke sath s** hi kyun na karle".
