Huge commotion was reported at the Ahmedabad office of American Indian Bank when the bank manager served a final notice of account closure upon a lady customer, who refused to accept the same. On noticing the lady's tears and hysterics, concerned passerbys rushed in to threaten the bank manager, ordering him to treat her fairly.

However, the manager who has returned from the USA a while ago, insisted that account was operated in contravention of all rules and regulations since months and several warnings had been issued to the customer, which went unheard. The lady on her part was seemingly unrepentant and insisted she had done no wrong. She promised to go to all lengths possible to preserve her bank account and indicated that she would bring her entire clan tomorrow to create a ruckus at the bank. The alarmed bank manager decided to flee and shut the branch rather than give in to the threats.

The account in question is said to be jointly operated by the lady along with an old man who is not directly related to her but who she claims is her father. Our correspondent noticed a distinct lack of security at the branch with no guards on duty. When quizzed, neither the bank manager nor his staff, who were coincidentally his cousin brother and sister-in-law, had any answers regarding the same. A random woman was also said to be videographing the entire scene and giving second by second commentary to someone on call.

This is what happens when you ignore the warning messages from the bank and assume you had arranged for an unlimited overdraft facility.
