Aap Pagal Hain Kya?

Anu's, "Aap Pagaal Hain Kya?" triggered me. It triggered me badly. I have suffered from clinical depression a few times in my life, and every time I had to hear, "Pagal Hogayi Ho Kya" from near ones. It hurt then, it hurt today. The way MAA manhandled a PTSD patient was scary, inappropriate, and insensitive. I should not have watched today's episode so early in the morning. That "Pagaal Hain Kya" dialogue will stay with me for a while. I can't enjoy their romance for a few days.

That was a low blow and I am glad it was the one that burst Anuj too. 😵 Is she herself mad to go bonkers on a grieving or sad person like this ? She almost attacked and suffocated him. Is this what and how Indian TRP audience behaves ? If anyone from that lot is here and planning to adopt the great AnupaMAA’s approach in real life - Don’t do that to your near and dear ones guys. 😵 It’s very insensitive to deal with a person grieving in this fashion, cruel too needless to add. From a neutral and aware audience, it’s AnupaMAA who seemed ‘paagal’ in particular in this scene.

I'm sure you didn't watch the episode (good, keep going with that). Bro, it was so bad - the way she kept invading his personal space while he seemed so broken and depressed, it was so suffocating to watch - this must have been triggering to a lot of people

Nope I didn’t watch. Didn’t read written update as well. It might bring the memories of my depression phase. But after reading every post only question comes in my mind is what if the gender was reversed in this situation?

That still remains a very good question - it feels like the people who are supporting Anupama here would have probably just destroyed Anuj and started petitions on removing him from the show

This uneducated illiterate lady thinks depression and anxiety and loss and grieving is going mad

Depression can be caused by chemical imablance in barin like low dopamine does this woman know anything

Same for anxiety

Even madness and anger is caused by hormones or change in chemicals in brain

But in this serial all illiterate educated are there so i have no hopes they know all this

That is why pyschiatrist give tablets to correct these chemical imbalance

If you have thyroid and diabetes or BP you can have depression or anxiety etc because chemicals in brain go low

Things you should never do to a depressed person

Minimize their feelings

Deny their feelings

Compare their feelings to others

Express apathy

Call them selfish

Say they are over reacting

And guess what! they did all of the above to anuj 🥲

The woman became a gynecologist to deliver Kinju baby's baby, then a neurologist to wake up Anuj from coma, now a psychologist and she will cure Depression phataphat at the speed of making khichdi...
