I noticed that line too, it was a very important line but I was more focused on the problems of that scene. Actually the dialogues of the kheer scene were all nice.

Just like when he said I love her, i was like what the fish, what did he just say, say it again and then he said I love you again and it was to Anwar Abe Teri Toh. Shouldn't the moment when he first said he loves her be a very very very important scene, and shouldn't Meerab be the first to hear it.

I found my own justifications for it like Murtasim was dying to confess, nothing like near death experience to make you appreciate life is short, he can't tell Meerab she will reject him break his heart, so he told his FIL who is his closest confidante. All fine just wish it had a more serious tone to it, more gravitas like Anwar registering what Murtasim said was significant and they should talk about it, but they just moved on so quickly Okkkkkkkkkkkk.

I think the excess of scrutiny over this show and with the copyright controversy, all the details in episode 21 were missed. And not to forget, the moral police being ever ready with their dandas behind the show. The sole focus shifted on the kheer scene while their eyelock in their hallroom deserved more attention. People really aren't able to handle the very palpable chemistry 😆

Your justification is something I can totally accept. Also, he told his chacha, his confidante that he loves Meerab to also calm off his anger. Anwer was really pissed at him for the father comment and instantly cooled off when he said he loves his daughter. Smart of him. If only he can be that smart and tactical in handling Haya 😆

I think his confession to Meerab hasn't happened yet, so it will be a separate scene altogether. But we are definitely deprived of his realisation. There had to a monologue as he realises he has fallen in love.

The only scene we get for how he would react if a third person came in between them was the birthday incident. Murtasim turned into a mad bull dog when Rohail grabbed her hands to stop her. It was similar to when Anwar grabbed his arm to stop him from dragging her away, he will not stand for it. You don't know what you have until you lose it. He never lost her because her marriage was never fixed with anyone else, but it was fixed with him and even though he kept saying I won't marry her his actions kept saying she is mine. His feelings are more apparent after his engagement was announced. He doesn't storm to his mom to say no i won't marry her, he goes to gather his thoughts privately and what is ringing in his ears is that she doesn't respect him. His reason to refuse the marriage is because he is remembering what she thinks of him, not what he thinks of her. So he is prioritizing her wishes above his and refuses the marriage. Isn't that a sign of someone in love when their priority is what does she think about me, not what I think about her.

We have to wait for this rohail track to see if they will explore the past with Murtasim. Will it be she was always mine or will it be she is mine now. I don't think he will put her character down just because she has a male friend. The cornerstone of Murtasim love for Meerab is that she is MY MEERAB, he is very proud of her, even his taunts you are badtameez is his way of saying you are my badtameez and I love you for it. The only time he insults her before marriage is when he says she is not worth it to marry, calling into question her character but we know he didn't mean it. In anger they have called each other names, but I repeat myself, deep down they always held each other in high esteem and have high expectations from each other. Meerab expecting Murtasim to neutralize Haya ASAP because he should know better, Murtasim motivating her in their marriage to put aside her pettiness and rise to the challenge as he knows she is capable of doing great things in her new position. I don't know want to see that respect torn to shreds. In any great love story respect is important. Who is going to take on the bigger blame let wait and see how the plot unfolds, yes it won't be subtle. She will bark, he will get angry, and we will watch.
