Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCB-W) will take on UP Warriorz (UP-W) in the 8th game of the WPL 2023 today (March 10) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

The Challengers have failed to win a single game so far and are placed last in the points table.

They lost the previous match against Gujarat Giants by a mere margin of 11 runs after failing to chase the target of 202 runs.

Sophie Devine had a great outing with the bat for the Challengers as she scored 66 runs off 45 deliveries.

The Warriorz, on the other hand, have won and lost one game each so far this season.

They lost the previous match against Delhi Capitals by 42 runs.

The Capitals posted a huge total of 211 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs while batting first. In reply, the Warriorz could make only 169 runs.

Tahlia McGrath scored 90 runs off 50 deliveries, but couldn’t get her team over the line.

It will be the fourth game of the season at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The teams have easily scored 200 runs at this venue.

Batters have dominated the tournament so far and might do the same in this game. The average first innings score in the last five T20 games has been 193 runs.

Heather Knight RCB-W | BAT

The English batter has made 64 runs in three games at an average of 32 and a strike rate of 193.93. She made 30 runs off just 11 deliveries in the previous match, which included five fours and one six.

Deepti Sharma UP-W | ALL

The star Indian all-rounder has scored 23 runs in two outings and has taken two wickets at an economy of 8.37. She was the second-highest wicket-taker for India in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have copped a hat-trick of defeats to start life in the Women's Premier League (WPL).

They would be looking to their captain Smriti Mandhana to help kick start their campaign. Considered among the best batters in the world, Mandhana got good starts in all the matches, but she's not been able to convert those, getting out to off spinners all three times.

UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy, meanwhile, has also struggled to live up to her reputation, getting out in the power play in all three of her side's matches.

While RCB are yet to win a single game after three matches, UPW have won and lost one each.

Smriti Mandhana's side have started life in the WPL with three consecutive defeats. They were utterly thrashed in the first two games but came close in the third and so, maybe, today they might get over the line. UPW, on the other hand, fell 42 runs short against the high-flying Delhi Capitals after completing an epic chase against Gujarat Giants to open their campaign.

Today, both teams will compete with each other to win this game. It will be an interesting game.
