Anupama's character has a lot of gujrati stereotypes which comes out bad. Moi thinks how would the character get played if someone else had taken it up like Sakshi Tanwar?? Would the character be less irritating??

In a recent interview, Rupali told that AnupaMaa was the epitome of pureness. So, yes, she lives in her own land.

I don't think it matters much. The general audience seem to adore her. I do agree that Anupama character is very OTT though but I guess that works for television. Having said that, Rupali is a good actress. She was really good in the initial days of Anupama and her previous show as well.

When the writing is not on par, we can't really blame the actors.

Not the actors, but not the writers either. Because several of them are working on other shows too that have a good storyline. I believe they don't have enough freedom.

Rupali is a very dedicated actress. She ensures that he lives the character she does. I don't recollect any of her shows where she left it abruptly.

Yes...there might be a lot of politics involved we know absolutely nothing about.

So many unknown variables here.

But I do understand where this question is coming from! While she was always ott, there were episodes in the beginning where she had an air of dignity about her; but now even the word 'ott' wouldn't want to be associated with her!

There is no way a human being goes through such exaggerated movements and dialogues with zero awareness of how it comes across as, right? I just can't comprehend that either. It looks so fake it's painful to watch.

And yes, that she publicly said something like "I'm happy that people recognize me as Anupama and that I'm part of such a socially progressive show" does raise my eyebrows.

But, ah, maybe she, as an actress and human being, just has much bigger priorities than how her character appears to the people here.

She doesn't consider online audience as real audience. She said it in a interview
