What’s the Target ? I thought a hit film of superstar like Kartik doesn’t have any target

They should just have release the film on OTT platform. The trailer itself was so dull and stupid

very detailed but this cant get the language which is the mainstay of a trivikran fil, and the final point he makes is the main thing, a lot of effort goes into molding a generic masala film to its case, setting to make it work and you have to do similar effort to make it work, not just copy, paste

but this guy is the 1st i have heard say music close, he didnt like samajavaragamana (how?), avpl was far ahead by any count in music , it is like chalk and cheese

he compares all actors except the main one, no not allu and aryan but murali sharma who was one of the mainstays of the film

Clearly the guy who made this comparison is a non Telugu speaking guy and clearly there is only so much the subtitles can do but looks like definitely the essence is lost in translation. To the Telugu speaking audience nothing was creepy ( least of all the blockbuster song Saamajavaragamana 😳) because even his leg fetish was presented in a comic manner with the girl having an upper hand on him. Bantu in Telugu has always remained submissive to his boss lady Pooja and intervened only when she was getting cornered, even then he made sure to not overstep.

AVKPL is all about crisp direction, intelligent tongue in the cheek dialogue, chartbuster music, well written and executed supporting cast and above all the main lead as Allu Arjun at his supreme best. Not even for one second they tried to put down the supporting cast or made them do cheap antics just to elevate the main lead. Every single actor got to shine on their own without having to crush another character. I watched it more than 10 times ( 3 times in the theater) but never got bored. It’s one of those movies that just flows like a beautiful poetry.

Shehzaada has failed to deliver in all the departments that made the original into such a classic and well loved movie. Especially making the supporting cast into clowns just to elevate the main lead exposes not just the lazy writing but also the lack of respect for the characters and lack of trust in their main lead being able to shine on his own.

Btw I take personal offense to the guy even attempting to equate the OG’s music to this shipwreck of an album. What evenšŸ˜”šŸ˜†

and finally, what the heck does Bantu mean in Hindi? šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£ If you follow the lead mule so closely, all you get to see is it’s bum. šŸ˜…

Murali Sharma was literally the main antagonist, the second most important character after Bantu - the yin to the yang of Bantu. I mean there is a whole song on him in the movie with Bantu wailing about how he ended up with such a dad. And Murali Sharma took up this opportunity of playing the best character of his career and did wonders with it. There is no question Paresh is equally a good actor, if not better, but I hope he wasn’t shown as some kind of a clown or something.

yes, he was one of the best parts of the film, from what i saw even that sushants character is made a joker, so i have no hopes

what you said is true, dialogues and even the songs lyrics are all very well thought of, there is no point writing the review of the film unless you understand the language. samajavargaman has beautiful lyrics.

Why did they???!!! It's when the bond between both the young men got established. I just wanted to rewatch this scene and ended up to rewatch the whole rest of AVPL...and loved it again...

I have serious doubts that what makes AVPL so endearing is also seen in Shehzada...(but I'll check for myself on OTT)

I would like to read the review but I dislike when I can't just disagree to get whatever cookies and don't get any access to read before at least accepting some options (I don't want to accept).

If it's released on Prime I may get a chance to watch it and make up my mind then.
