It's been 13 years since I came across this site. And what a wonderful journey!. I miss the Old IF definately. MJHT & IPK were the days!!! Forums full of posts and various discussions.

About making friends- Yes!!! A BIG YES. Made so many good friends that I still miss them sometimes. We grew even more closer when the scrapbook and slam thing came up. But sadly we all left this place. But even now I sometimes read the old scraps, messages that are so many years old now. I just wish we all hadn't left this place!

So glad and happy that I came across IF and met such good people. :) Thankyou for this post! <3

Were you part old IF, like pre 2015? If yes, do you miss it?

Joined around 2013. I belong to stacked avi/sig, long train of quotes, opening emoji codes in a separate window to chat with emojis in scrapbook era! I miss it? I don't know, maybe I miss that red starry backdrop IF used to have (if I remember it correctly). But I love classy layout and modern stuff so I don't really miss it in terms of wanting it back but surely it was a good memory.

The long train of quotes is like tea getting served 😆 you get all the fights in one page 😆 now you gotta keep clicking to read the whole tea, I mean fight!

Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

Definitely. Imo older shows had an essence and offered variety which is not seen now. (I shouldn't judge since I've quit watching ITV since 2017).

Have you made life long friends on IF?

Almost all of my friends I have now are from IF. Friends I made around 2014, many are busy with their lives still we know what's happening in each other's life. And that one friend I'm still connected to(on a daily basis), we're rant buddies 😆 I dragged her back here few months ago still she left as there isn't much discussion around East Asian shows. Friends I made via joining a fandom in FB are also IF members (surprisingly) but none of them are active and not more than Dazzler group. So yeaa!

I'm still meeting new people here!

How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity?

PS! My old PC almost had all ver of PS until it couldn't hold anymore 🤣 I miss those days when A/S forum used to have active shops for almost 3 pages. Users showing their support by using the sig/avis of their favorite graphicer. Pinned posts filled with resources/tricks/shortcuts, graphicers answering doubts and much more. I'm almost outta PS obsession now and make nameless cameo appearance in selected threads 😳 and in my sig box.

I'm proud to be a part of the top-ranked India forums, which is now ranked as Number One in India. Because this site is safer than any other website for group discussions, the inflow is always greater, normally once you enter you won't be able to exit, because of the friendly relationships we develop here.

Many will concur with me when I say that the moderators here are more like friends than rigors monitors, while they are attuned to be unbiased rule enforcers whenever it is necessary.

I used to post Fun posts in the BV forum back when I first started visiting India forums. After one episode, I wanted to express my views on an emotional out burst of Shiv. against Anandi. I started a new thread with my views on that episode.

Back then, there were heated arguments going on between Jaggya and Shiv fans and Prats and Toral fans. When the thread reached to page 21, a big fight broke between the various fandoms.

The thread was locked by the forum's moderator, Apoorvafan, who put a note explaining --- Unwanted abusive language used by different groups against another group. We are planning to take appropriate action against the rules violators.

I felt so intimidated and insulted, and I was absolutely terrified. I began visualizing the situation where I was standing in a jeep as it sped towards the jail!! (It is OK...have a hearty laugh, my dear readers!😃)

What should I do right now? I already lost my credibility, better to exit . But before I leave IF, it is better to give an explanation to the Moderator. Then, sent a pm to Apoorvafan, stating that--- I did a big mistake by starting that thread, I must take responsibility of this unnecessary disturbance in the IF. Now please advise me, is it necessary to give an affidavit assuring that I will never do such mistake, I will never post in the IF--

Immediately I got a reply ---Sweety,chill baby, you did nothing wrong, the fangirls fought amongst themselves. I am a big fan of your posts, I won't let you leave the IF. No need of any assurance. These are normal in any group discussions. They will talk happily on another thread tomorrow.

What a big relief it was. I was so frightened like a chic seeing that DT note. But at the end, it turned out to be a happy interaction with that DT member.

India Forums is a well organised website with constant improvisations and always encourages member interactions in a friendly atmosphere.

India Forums has become India's top-ranked website.⭐️ Congratulations to Vijay for developing IF into a respectable website and making it the top forum in India.

Thank you, Mina and Devi for giving us this opportunity to share our earlier days' some experiences with all our friendly members here.

  • Were you part old IF, like pre 2015? If yes, do you miss it? YES! 100%. Old IF had a charm about it. There were discussions, there were siggies, there were gifs, there were avis, and there was creativity. People could show their creativity in so many ways and have strong discussions. Today, there are some mods who stifle any creativity and discussions. Where are the mods from the olden days? There are like 5 of them left. Promote some of them to GM and have them train the new mods. IF can definitely go back to it's olden days in one aspect then.
Another area I want to chat about is the IF design. Is there something that can be done about the ads and the brightness? I've been talking about this since day 1. The website is super bright and the ads cover half the page. Please do something.
  • Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF? I mean you have naagins, bhediyas, machars, pishachinis, dayans, etc. You can only talk so much on these things.
  • Have you made life long friends on IF? I have my soul sister, Shreya. Apart from that no.
  • How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity? I've always like writing and being part of BollyCurry was nice and fun. It was enjoyable and brought the writing talent out. I wish it hadn't been closed down. It was fun writing articles for that team.

@ Bold: Lol a lot of people are scared of mods for no reason. I remember when I first became mod, people would stop arguing (discussion arguing) if I posted a thought in a thread. Then this one member started an argument with me. We went back and forth for about 20 posts and she finally said "damn I can't believe I'm fighting a mod and not being banned for it".

The only mod you should be terrified of is an old mod we had. I think before she left her UN was Levithian or something like that. She wasn't scary in the scary sense, but you listened when she spoke and no arguments allowed. 😆

Yes and she had such a dry sense of humour that it was scary for those who were new. I remember the first time I chatted with her, the whole time she was pulling my leg, but I was still a new DT and I didn't know her and I just got more and more terrified until Jot told me she was teasing. 🤣
