A track that can bring back the lost charm and message of the show on Woman Empowerment can be showing Deviji and her (at least in Deviji’s mind) Sautan MaaYaa in different lights.

While Deviji is all about rona dhona and wearing that Sooti Sari and doing OTT acting about ‘phamily’, they should show MaaYaa as a mother who is a smart entrepreneur focused on her child and is capable of maintaining her business single-handedly while caring and inspiring her young child.

The most irritating part (other than ALL of Deviji's scenes) was showing MaaYaa dressed in that Sari and working in the kitchen.

I mean, in the minds of the ITV writers, is the role of the woman just confined to the kitchen and her family? are they really THAT SEXIST and REGRESSIVE?

When we met MaaYaa, she was dressed so smartly and she was handling her event at the Makar Sankranti festivities. And now, she is confined to the kitchen? Are the writers seriously that delusional and disgusting?

They should take a page out of the recently concluded Sherdil Shergill from Colors or the Seasons 1 and 2 of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi from Sony.

In both those shows, women had family issues, but they were strong, working, career ladies. And sirf bolne ke liye nahin, like Deviji. Pata nahin kitne barson ho gaye Deviji ko office mein dekhe hue ya DA mein dekhe hue. Bas, jab dekho SH mein milegi ya KH mein having Panic Attacks. She is NOT the symbol of woman empowerment. She is the poster child for Woman Enslavement. If you want to learn how women should be enslaved, watch this serial. Strong women like Kinjal are also reduced to being pitiful slaves of their abusing in-laws by the ways of gaslighting. Itna zyada gaslight and manipulate karke rakha hai Deviji ne that she is rebelling against her own mother to stay with this useless and loser family.

Agar thodi insaaniyat hoti na Deviji mein, she would have made sure that her daughter in law did not suffer like she did. Instead, she is encouraging her daughter-in law to so EXACTLY like she did and suffer and be abused. Sick woman!

This is what can bring a bit of freshness to the stale and toxic serial.

a) Show MaaYaa NOT interested in AK but only in CA. She is cooking lovely dishes for and with CA, making her do her homework, doing craftwork with her, etc. But, all just for CA. Don' show scenes where MaaYaa is pining for AK.

b) Show a few scenes where MaaYaa has a conference call and she is sitting at the Dining Table attending the call while CA is sitting beside her and doing her homework or coloring or whatever. Like all kids do in conference call, they want to share their opinions too. Let CA do that and MaaYaa watching her proudly.

c) Most Important of all, Let AK and Deviji see all this and contemplate their life choices. Especially AK.

I would love to watch this. If these writers could show someone this strong, doing their own things, raising a child, running their business.👍🏼

Have said this on another forum, I say it again, TRPs system itself is so flawed. It is for economics which unfortunately drives any production house and/or channel.

I don't think it has anything to do with quality of the show or content. It's just probably, how many have subscribed to the channel and fortunately or unfortunately have switched it on for a prescribed duration of the show being aired.

Furthermore, it has got to do with the reach of the audience where Star Plus rules the roost. So, invariably, one would see shows from Star being amongst the top few.

Exactly... star plus has a wide reach, especially compared to sony tv. In terms of content, sony tv delivers it much better, if one can get over their habit of ending shows abruptly midway. I wouldn't say all, but majority of their shows actually have good content..

At least screen ke andar jaake leads ko thappad lagane ka mann nahi karta.. 😆😆
