I actually sat down and watched all episodes from Friday till Wednesday to get a complete feel of the Sangeet and wedding 😊 what beautiful episodes we got in the last 5 days, I haven't seen a wedding track covered so poignantly before with such simplicity and genuine beauty before on ITV :) could also be since I haven't watched too many ITV shows and forced weddings I can't stand 😒
Anyways coming back to the episodes - loved the Sangeet episodes, the genuine happiness on everyone's faces especially Dev and Vidhi was a sight to behold - the paper dance and Dev's dialogs (why he is such a sweetheart... always so sweet and patient with Vidhi during their private moments ❤️).
The performance by Kanika and Yogesh was so so good and the genuine happiness on Kanika's face to see her dear friend, Dev, finally getting married was so pure 😳 Dev is indeed lucky to have atleast one genuine friend! 😊
Dev and Vidhi's dance performances were so beautifully complemented by the family dance face off; and the performance by Hariprasad and Vimla, who danced their hearts out at their daughter's happiness! Even Vidhi was surprised to see this playful, cheerful side of her otherwise serious and conservative parents 😳
Amba, as expected, was there for fireworks, which she delivered quite efficiently, I must say. 🤣 Sneha is a powerful actress and I have a feeling, she is actually enjoying playing such a twisted character which offers her so many shades to portray and really gives her a varied performance range!
Her character; now very dangerous; unfortunately, does not hold the enigma like the initial episodes! Too bad - ITV does not know how to write and do justice to grey characters. It's either black / white. But still Sneha is 100% worth the SS she gets 👏👏 If audience had their say, I would say hili hui Aunty and Priya ke dialogs / SS kam karke Amba ko dedo 😆😆
The cherry on the cake were the responses from Dev and Vidhi - these two have wholeheartedly accepted each other and even their age difference! They both are now very clear and in sync - we will cherish every moment of our togetherness, irrespective of how many moments we have together❤️ truly Naa Umra ki Seema Ho....
Coming to the wedding episodes - the best part was the simplicity and relatibility of the wedding preparations and the actual sequence itself. As with the story till now, very subtle and sweet 😳 every emotion beautifully and honestly emoted by respective characters! Felt a lump in my throat when I saw Chitra disguising to meet Dev and tie his sehra😔 a sister's happiness is at another level during her brother' wedding and poor girl was missing all this because of the tussle between Amba and Dev's family 😭 but atleast she mustered the courage to come meet her brother and do an important ceremony for him. 👏
Dev bringing the baraat at Vidhi's home and participating in all the Sharmas customs with utmost respect, right humor, and even genuine curiosity! Again, DEV RAICHAND won my heart when he shut down hili hui Aunty and Priya in the most dignified way during the nose hold ceremony. Such power struggle between groom and bride's families are still a common sight in Indian weddings and so glad the makers touched upon them in a dignified way! 👏
The jaimala, pheras, sindoor, and magalsutra scenes have my whole heart ❤️ how sweetly and supportively Dev held Vidhi's hands during each ceremony. Their extended eyelock before jaimala and then sweetly saying "haanji" to Satyawati to holding hands during the pheras... they've set the bar very high for weddings on ITV 👏👏 how sweetly Dev said "manzoor hai" to each wedding wow, he is such a KEEPER 😳😳
Vidai scenes are always hard to watch, and this one was no different! 😔 The sadness of a girl leaving her parents' home; while balancing the excitement of starting a new life with the love of her life were so delicately portrayed by Rachana and so ably supported by Iqbal 👏 Dev wiping Vidhi's tears and then holding her hand in the car; show the immense maturity level Dev has gathered over the years, to truly understand a girl's emotions and offer support without being overbearing 👍🏼
Finally Vidhi's welcome as Mrs. Vidhi Dev Raichand was sweet! As expected, hili hui Aunty had to add her taunts ka tadka, which Dev understood very well and so he did what he always does - support Vidhi silently🤗🤗
Precap - let's see what Amba does this time to separate Dev and Vidhi 🤓🤓 her plotting and planning will, unfortunately, have some collateral damage, which I am dreading
Some light-hearted laughs - Mausaji saying at the mandap itself, give us a junior Dev 🤣 and Abhi telling Priya let's touch Dev Bhai and Vidhi Bhabhi's feet and get their blessings. While Abhi is genuinely in awe of his elder brother and fond of his Vidhi Bhabhi, I think he did that to purposely rile up Priya 😎😎
