I don't think deepika was a prop.. she was doing the same things as srk if not more at time. She had a back story, a current and a future story.. her character evolved .. honestly it may have come down to her clothing and hairstyle lol .. and small things like when she dived into the pool.. it wasn't perfect, her ice-skating wasn't that of an experienced iced skater. .. so it didn't look nice. Small things like that ... all the time.

Maybe she was too sexual .. you know how in the Marvel universe? Whilst the women look hot, there is no attempt to have chemistry between the characters..it detracts from the female superheros screen presence, and keeps them equal with the males. ..they obviously do it for a purpose too.

However Bollywood couldn't help it, and thereby ruined deepikas character and a little bit of pathaan. John was cool.. because he was always job before anything else

Spoiler: John n deepika I heard were heating things up lol 😂 in the pool scene. I heard they cut some scene in the Indian version but Kept it in the USA 🇺🇸 . I am assuming they did in Australia as well. They edited it in India because people had issues with her bikni ( but it was more so her hot steamy scene with John) I just meant some srk fans don’t like her in general but now she’s in the spyverse but she can be irritating off screen.

Watched the movie yesterday and before watching it, just mentioned to a neighbor that we are watching Pathaan. Got t know he is a protester who shut down one show of the movie on 25th

The movie was gladly shown in the theater and people started screaming at every action scene of Shahrukh including the yellow bikini scene 😆

The story was good but found many flaws like:

1. Some action scenes of Shahrukh were OTT. The gun was moving like it does in video games.

2. Deepika's character was confusing. First she betrays Pathaan and then regrets after getting to know what it is. Why would she help a terrorist like Jim who plans attacks on countries and then back out proving to be ? How illogical!

3. Indian scientists are shown to blue clueless about that virus in a device and open it without taking precautions and then die.

4. Shahrukh appoints a team of members who were given early retirement due to injuries but none have any input except 1-2 dialogues. Got to know Amit Sadh was one officer but he died before saying anything. It was Shahrukh as the only team member. lol

5. The last scene like always came to the last 2 seconds to save the plane. He gets stabbed but is able to have energy to fight and even kill John later to say the famous dialogue.

Ignoring everything, the movie was much better than for me than Tiger Zinda Hai but War was much enjoyable. Excited for all the three agents Tiger, Pathaan and Kabir coming together but don't have high hopes.

The part that should've been deleted was John in his tightie whites lolol

In Australia.. deepika wore orange.. attempted to dive into the pool , but it was a poor dive.. then attempted to freestyle down the pool and couldn't. There was no steamy scene between John and deepika, John's character was not into any of that.

Deepikas character was rolling around on a bed at one stage trying to seduce pathaan. I think that's what the problem was.. they made her into a bond girl when she should've been like blackwidow from marvels instead.

So can we expect a Tiger Pathaan combo movie? If it happens I would be equally excited for Zoya Rubina scenes.

Those who really hates DP would say that she is just ornamental but thanks to the director, SRK and DP, she not only wears bikini to seduce men but does stunts gracefully. Her physique actually makes it believable that she can actually handle three men or more with her fighting skills.

No matter what outside IF there are many people who loves this combo and after 4 continues super hits I hope they do more movies together. Also I don't think DP flaunts more skin show than John. Man he in white shorts just flaunts his well maintained body.

That said I agree that Dp's character is poorly written. Maybe because of my beliefs I find it hard to trust an ex ISI agent. Also the reason for her patch up with Pathaan is not convincing. Would have been convincing if they showed the process of her change rather than making it happen in one scene. Also though thier combination in certain scenes were good lacked their natural chemistry because their love story was rushed. But the scenario would be the same even if the best actress in the world played that character.

I just was waiting on Salman Khan who I knew his entry was to be in the second part once the interval was over !! And in most American theaters they don’t even give a break during the interval unless u goto a movie theater owned by a desi.
