She would have never had to go to Viaan had PapaG helped her on time.. Woh toh kiya nahi on top that said 'you both can die' 😡 Imagine forgetting all that because now he loves Aarav.. Even if she wants to let go for Aarav's sake, I can't relate to that.. Should have been as hard for him as it is for Viaan but nope 😡

But yes, i agree that it shouldn't have been so easy for papaG to get away with what he did katha should atleast gave him lecture if nothing else.

I completely agree and she has all the right to not be on good terms with Viaan if she wants for making that offer. But tbh for me whatever PapaG said is just as bad as Viaan's offer because cursing a child and pointing fingers at a woman's respect are both shitty things to do so this unequal treatment for both of them doesn't make sense to me.

Hi guys, I am back with my points

MamaR and Farah aunty broke all the truth bombs one by one...Single mother, son, cancer, 1 Cr+, she managed by last moment....

Viaan and his reactions to each of these, the disbelief on his face, shock and he almost forgot to breath for a few seconds, panic attack...Adnan was great

For a few seconds, I really thought he was going to jump down the balcony.

One basic question which hit me, "I have become like Viraj R, DISGUSTING". Why did this realisation he had now after learning truth about Katha? He should have had this realisation on the very next day of ONS. I have the same question as Katha. You can buy a single lady, not a single mother?

Before I forget, I loved the setup, especially the stairs with lighting and the BGM while he was walking down.❤️❤️

Ehsan is also equally shocked, I could not decipher if he is worried for not able to help her or he is worried for her single status. It looks like he is a good human, a bit confused with Katha

Confrontation scene needs appreciation. A panicked Viaan reaching to Katha, his hiding of face in shame while he saw through rearview mirror, a happy smiling Katha walking and him calling Katha from behind, Stammering, saying I am sorry....I know I should not be forgiven....dont forgive me.... Let me apologise.... A confused and frustrated Viaan, blabbering.... Well done. Special appreciation to the team for micro detailing liking sending Viaan barefoot...❤️❤️not in polished shoes, as per ITV norms🤣🤣

Katha getting shocked when he said MOTHER, and all the dialogues, cancer se lad haha tha... akeli maa.... chota bacha... Special appreciation to Aditi and her expressions

Katha asked the question, which Shalzie was asking for a century🤣🤣What made him go ahead...Aapki kya majboori thi

I don't take Katha categorically saying what happened as PAAP, and what answer Viaan have for his share of PAAP. If you listen to her, the deal was between two, both have done the deal....if a third person get to know about it anytime, the third person will say both have sinned. And she has the reason why she did a sin... (she was ready to give up her life for son, and she gave up her soul). If it is a sin for Viaan (from the way he is behaving and stalking for forgiveness, she assessed that he considers it a sin), what is his reasons for committing that sin? Aapki kya majboori thi .... and what will be your answer to your mom and god... It is a valid question.

She is not saying he did a sin. She is saying, any third person would consider so

To me, it looks like Katha considers ONS as a sin (the way she reacted to him for the first time he proposed offer), so her part of soul died with the night. But she has reasons for it.

Any person, doing any action should have a driving force behind that action and he/she should be ready to face consequences of those actions. This applies to everyone's daily lives. Getting up in the morning, to daily chores, to studying, to partying, to going to work, to everything. If someone does a wrong action also, there will be a reason behind, and a consequence.

So basically Katha asked, I had the reason of urgent need of money to save my son for that night deal, what was your reason for what you did in that night. And he can not obviously say, I did it to test you, right. She is ready to face any questions on her morality and is ready with her answers, what will be his answers (if he thinks he sinned). I don't find her question wrong.

Anyway, Katha has already judged Viaan, as a super rich boss, who tried to take advantage of his power and position to offer her a ONS in exchange of money because he learned that she is in need of money and asked for a loan. And she is angry with him for judging her character, and stalking he for forgiveness. She even said, there is no use of asking forgiveness, and he should not himself forgive. That was a bit rude

I loved the way Katha was relieved seeing Aarav, and she cuddled peacefully in his lap...At the same time, a guilty ridden Viaan spent whole night in his dark office alone. But both were happy and relieved after confrontation.

Katha is happy to get a new job, and Viaan is at peace to let her go. Let us see how these two come together again at EarthCon

Sorry guys, I am a bit late for this episode. Was on a road trip with loads of street foods to enjoy

Thank you for the tag. Loved your write up - I always miss the finer points. Was happy to hear that Katha herself did not think she had sinned and it was her showing him his moral compass. Both actors were phenomenal 😍

Hope you enjoyed the road trip and delicious street food😋

I really don't think Katha was telling he did a sin, neither she was thinking she did a sin. Dialogue was written in such a way that audience are free to interpret on their own way. If you want to take it as Katha asking Viaan what will be his answer to the god for the paap he did, you can interpret as she is telling him he did a paap.

If you consider her line on, "agar us raat ke baare mein kisi teesre ko pata chala to woh to sochega ki hum dono ne paap kiya hai, mere paas jawab hai, aap kya jawab denge"

This is where the dialogue of first promo is being played, "Katha ko parakhne mein, Viaan ne apna hi wajood kho diya"

Viaan was prejudiced about women. He wanted to test Katha (GD or NGD), in the process of testing, he lost his own morality, sanity and he got judged by Katha as a person trying to take advantage of women due to his money and position.

In short words, "test lene nikla tha ur khud test mein fail hoke aa gaya"

@ Shalzie, Mili and Mango: I have one question, which I don't think even show will be able to answer: Why Viaan chose Katha to test, why not Rewa or Jenny or any other women he knows? Is it because she asked him a loan?

All your answers are welcome🤗🤗

Exactly! This is what I like about the dialogues. Superbly written and superbly acted. This was the first scene of the show that I watched at length (previously I saw bits and pieces of the promos etc) and even with my reservations about the lead pair coming together later on, I am unable to not wait to see how things unfold. The only reason being dialogues and delivery. I mean you can assume it at any level you want, it fits all moulds, those considering it one night stand, those considering it sin, those considering it assault and trauma, it fits all,it's so thoughtfully written to taste good to all palettes.

@BLUE

Adding my opinion here, without tag. Vihaan was starting to be impressed by Katha (her work, her perspective, her decisions for the company) and he was starting to believe Ehsan's claim, "Katha is different". And then her asking a loan of 1 crore just throws him off. If you watch that scene closely, he was fine when she asked for loan at first, when she hadn't mentioned the amount. The moment she says 1 crore, his judgement overclouds him, his prejudice overpowers him. And it's not that difficult to imagine. We all have our trigger points due to our inherent biases, this was his. And boom, he goes blind at that moment. I am not agreeing or justifying his offer, it was wrong, but it was because he was consumed in that moment by his prejudice on one side and may be somewhere that thought "Katha is different" was still trying to survive. In this turmoil, in that momentary lapse of judgement he makes his "wahiyat offer", as he later admits.

letha -- we were discussing the whole paap thing yesterday in DT (my post on that) (also the linguistic/culture side about paap here) but in regards to your question, I would say that viaan was triggered by her request for a really huge amount of money. it wasn't just asking for a loan but the amount played a huge role in how he perceived her.

The questions the dialogues are so aptly written, the acting takes it to another level altogether. My take on why he didn't realise it sooner was because he was in his bubble of "being right". He was proven right by Katha's actions according to him. So, no way he would have any sort of realisation then. Only when he hit the low, his actions are laid bare in front of him, his bubble bursts and now he can see his own biases and misjudgements.

@BLUE

The acting was so spot on in that scene. Every microexpression of hers was on point. So well done.

I would try to put forward what could have been Viaan's perception.

Katha asked aapki kya majburi thi? But not necessarily viaan must have majburi for doing what he did. He could just simply have a perception. A perception that a woman who he thought was righteous and honest, who has just proved thar a very important project of company is dependent solely on her talent suddenly comes and ask for 1 cr. loan. No company would give such big loan even to their permanent employees. Besides, this katha had already lied about her family situation to get the job, viaan had no idea what she could have been facing on that front neither did she tell anything clearly.

So suddenly a girl comes and make this unreasonable demand, isnt it obvious that person like viaan who already have trust issues will perceive her as gold digger or someone who's kind of blackmailing company to give loan or else she could leave the important project.

I know that he doesn't have any right to judge people but didn't katha already made that mistake of judging him thats why she couldn't tell the truth. So an ideal situation could have been that viaan either could have refused to give loan or katha could have tell the truth. Both have their own flaws so both went by their instincts.

Viaan was genuinely hoping that she wont come but she did. He gave her option to opt out again but she didn't go. At that time infact both of them had several moments when either of them could have cancelled the "deal" but they didn't.

If aarav's treatment was the driving force for katha to go through it then viaan could have simply went with a flow as in, "ok, if she is really a gold digger and she is so obsessed about money and came here with free will then let it be, deal is a deal. If she is willingly offering herself then why dont i take my part of benefit out of this deal." And if he thought this way then its no big deal about it. Not necessarily he must have majburi to go for it.

Thats why when he came to know the truth, he felt guilty. Not because katha is a mother, not because he wouldn't have done it in case of any other girl, but simply because he wrongly assessed the situation and because of him a woman had to go through such ordeal.

As usual lovely analysis of the friday episode. The episode was so good that i still remember all the scenes and dialogues.😆 AAP KI KYA MAJBOORI THI is still echoing in my ears. 😆 Aditi is a one of the finest actress we have in TV industry now.

As usual Viaan didn't have any answers. Adnan was too good in portraying the guilty guy who was begging for forgiveness. I liked his hand gesture this time.😆

In short Friday ka episode was one of the finest episode of Katha Ankahee.

By the way how was your trip?
