Everyone is sharing songs that are inspired by one form of transportation or another.

However, the reason I chose this song is that it transports our hearts and souls to a new universe where every idea and emotion is flying on cloud nine.

No visible vehicle, but you'll fly with high spirits!

It is a gift for dear Lizzie, who will be thrilled to hear this quick beat with Shammi and Rafi in it!

Song:- Savere Wali Gaadi Se Chale Jayenge

Singer(s):- Mohammed Rafi

Movie:- Laat Saheb (1967)

Music Director:- Shankar-Jaikishan

Lyricist:- Shailendra

We’re onto motorized vehicles now- planes, trains and other automobiles 😆 can’t think of any song on a plane, can you? The closest I can come up with is this one in a flying car!

Ahh thank you Madhu for the lovely gift! 🤗 This song truly does have some great beats and the lyrics make you think of the promise and romanticism of a long journey - Savere wali gaadi se chale jayenge, kuch leke jayenge, kuch deke jayenge!

Raji- Here’s another jeep song - not as well-known as Mere Sapnon ki Rani but it’s Shammi-Rafi!

Precocious kid se yaad aaya, one of my favourite authors wrote a first person fic from an infant's POV and it is hilarious and amazing!

From motorised vehicles to human train 😆

Rail gaadi from the film Aashirwad, starring Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Sumita Sanyal in a lead role. The Hindi Kids song is composed by Vasant Desai and vocals were given by Ashok Kumar, while lyrics of “Rail Gaadi Rail Gaadi” were penned by Harindranath Chattopadhyay.

This live version has some interesting and hilarious improvisations 👍🏼

Love this one!! This made me as a child look up all the places mentioned and I'd always win the Atlas game 😆

Hai unki woh nigaahein

Aakhri Dao (1958)

Singer: Asha Bhosle

Music: Madan Mohan

Lyrics: Majrooh Sultanpuri

See Nutan someone's nigaahein have wounded her heart – can someone ask him how she can not fall in love with him, she queries...

Hai unki woh nigahein,

Dil dekhe jinki raahein

Koi unse jaake poochhe

Hum kyun na unhe chaahen...

Shammi, who is seated next to her, finds her revelation amusing. So is Shekhar, the subject of Nutan's adoration who, unbeknownst to her, is the cab driver. He doesn't appear to be paying much attention to the road because he is so engaged in listening to her sing and enjoying what she is singing. One hopes that such songs and, in fact, such feelings were addressed to someone more deserving of them, but love, as they say, is blind. (No pun intended) Shammi whistles her questions, Nutan has a dreamy expression, and their nonverbal communication suggests a pleasant, affectionate friendship. This is Madan Mohan at his melodious best, and surprise, Asha, instead of his favourite, Lata.
