Maybe the makers got the idea of EMA from the movie.but initially they didnt plan EMA but falling out of love.shakti revealed it in his interview and he was disappointed when they showed EMA instead of falling out of love.kj mentioned that he was inspired by silsila to make KANK.but the story was entirely different.

Maybe if they buy rights they will have to show almost the same which was shown in the original.but here they made many changes..like malhar prathisha are not lovers and they have no child also.after a point of time the show is about getting the child back.but in dp they cant show that as there is no child.so its only an inspiration and not a remake.

Why doesnt Ekta give credit to the shows she copied from like other makers do?

Silsila came way after kank, to inspiration kahan se aaya?

From the articles released before the show and promos I think it was pretty obvious that there would be EMA

Aise to sab shows inspired hote hain, even dil se dil tak was inspired from chori chori chupke chupke

Even the star plus shows which are copied from regional shows have changes in them. Stories are not completely the same. Look at Imlie for example.

Amitabh jaya rekha movie silsila which was about EMA.

It was about falling out of love and moving on to the next person..not 2 timing as they showed.it was supposed to happen after 10 months.but due to low trp after 3 months itself EMA started.Shakti said that openly.but they showed the same concept for the new generation.
