The story was not that fascinating. 😔 I can't believe they can't write sth original like this. Chhoti Sardarni also had similar story. Hero was killled first. Then find the murderer. 😔

Most of Star Plus & Sony Serials were remakes of english serials. Some of those were superhits too.

Shararat= Sabrina the teenage witch

Sumit Sambhal lega= Everybody loves Raymond

Dil vil pyar vyar= Friends

were very popular and different kind of serials. Even PKYEK had extra ordinary story line. So even though remake it was okay. But Meriem kind of stories are so common. This looks funny. Kitne aalsi hai yeh writer log that they can't make such a silly stories like this. 🤢 I am so bored all ready. It isn't a year since Chhoti Sardarni is over and uska female version aagaya🤢. So disappointing.👎🏼

There was also another SP show starring Sanjay Kapoor which was copied from a Turkish Show, I think it was called "Dil Sambhal Ja Zara". So this is not the first time a Turkish show is being copied.

I think even thgat Amla show was copied from a Turkish show.

Many Colors shows have been adapted from movies, such as Dil Se Dil Tak and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka

PKYEK on Star One was a copy of Twilight

Dhadkan on Sony was copied from Grey's Anatomy.

Were all of themn stolen too?

Katha ankahee has credited the turkish original in the credits it's an official adaptation apparently

Btw it is an almost scene by scene copy 😆

Muskuraane Ki Vajah Tum Ho had same storyline as Choti Sardarni. Makers copied their own story and added a bit of Geet in it.😆

How was meryam different from secret love?

Also the whole love story btwn the leads began once the fl got out of jail and they kept on interacting and ml figured out she was innocent and she knew the true killer.

Meryem itself was inspired from a korean show secret love but that was even more tragic coz the fl was pregnant went to jail for a few years and her baby with her ex was adopted by other people.

I prefer Meryem its not as tragic better romance and a happier ending for most of the characters.
