I posted these in DT but will share them again in case if missed. the body language is so similar that it really did throw many of us off with how angry domestic it was. basically the parallel with Gparents show us how domestic their argument is.

ooh, essay on Gparents. should be good to hear your view! :)

You forgot to tag Letha🤣

Parallels and contrasts continue on this show. Honestly some people have put lots of effort in making this show. If I recall correctly, I was siding more with Viaan in that scene. Katha acted too righteous to my liking. Now we have Mama G who is so sensible. She knows how to deal with PapaG and how to get her points across. Although PapaG has been pig-headed, their relationship still comes across as one of equals. There is love and respect.

2 things I have observed:

1. Katha knows that Viaan judged her character.

2. Katha knows that Viaan is tormented and is repenting.

Katha understands Viaan. She knows that he wants to go back to being the one who judges and not the one who is being judged now. The makers are subtle. Will need to watch more eps to understand where they are going with this.

shalzie -- for me, viaan is a lot easier to understand. we have his monologues and we have got a good read on him. katha, we have nothing. so I understand why he is anxious.

I remember a certain climate a few years ago where we would hear of companies laying off people. people started to get very anxious as we had no idea what management was upto and rumours started to fly. so there was a company wide meeting and it was hilarious because they said there would be no layoffs and nothing to be anxious about.

sometimes, not knowing but sensing something is off can make us super anxious. even if it is bad news, it feels like it is better to know because then you know how to react and what to do going ahead. so that is the kind of mindframe where viaan is reacting from. it is all just anxiety.

as for katha, I am still not sure why she was so upset with him because the domestic vibes was just a curve ball. yea, she said some pretty savage stuff but the way she said, it sounded like someone slaying down their man. someone who belonged to her. like letha said, maybe it just had to do with the second one night stand offer and his persistence in wanting to know.

None of you want to speculate on the impact of the 6 hours🤣both are acting like idiots.

Both were rational....now I cannot make sense of their actions or thought processes.

but will try to tag you on the more serious notes. :)

I tried the DT but it's tough to just jump in. Have to go back some pages to understand what is being discussed. Unfortunately I don't have as much time.

This is why I enjoy the threads dedicated to one specific episode or topic.

As for you, enjoy🤣It's rare to come across someone who has knowledge or done research about as many topics as you have. Thank you for sharing with us😊you notice the oddest things, and we end up noticing them too afterwards🤣

If a man has realized he has probably wronged a woman, he should be respectful even as he is persistent in making amends, right? But Viaan got more disrespectful as he got more persistent to make amends - tricking her into the Dubai trip, offering to “buy” her attention with money, invading her personal life by going to her home. No wonder Katha is angry with him - more for these things than the original ons offer, I think.

That said, I dont agree with her judging him as an immoral paapi for making a transparent no force offer to a single woman - it cannot be classified as taking advantage as he did not have an inkling abt her majboori coz she was the one who misled him abt her single status, it can be called indecent MCP behaviour. All that stuff about God judging him was over the top. Maybe she is reading “Spirituality in 30 days” alongside “Arabic in 30 days” 😆

Has he really wronged her? I have already shared my thoughts on this. Other POVs are more than welcome😊

The God comment was too much.

From his pov he clearly feels he has wonged her by misjudging her as a gold-digger who wld sleep for money. He doesnt know that insdvertently his offer has helped save the kid’s life.

I loved the acting in the leads’ confrontation scene. Even in the part when Aditi was sitting down and look up at a standing Adnan, she conveyed dignity & control of the scene.

All of us end up misjudging a person at a point in our lives. It's normal. But I cannot relate to Viaan's guilt. He is overdoing it. Katha accepted the deal. The deed was done. Now let us move on. The makers were bold enough to tackle a ONS concept. Now they are trying to fit it in within the boundaries of ITV, which I am not liking. They have to tone down on Viaan's guilt and Katha's righteousness.

Does anyone know whether the ML in the OG show also felt so much guilt prior to knowing the truth?

The acting is great in this show😊we are being spoilt.

Makers are not trying to fit into ITV format. Viaan should either be guilty or he should be attracted to her physically after ONS for the love story to begin. If they show Viaan, the ashique stalking Katha after ONS, it will look like teenager antics which will not fit into the age of the characters they are playing

Mili, where are you dear? Miss your points. Hope all is well

I don't see the attraction. I don't know what I see between these 2. Maybe awareness of each other. As for the guilt, I have written too much on this already 🤣Viaan should man up and accept responsibility for his judgement and actions. He needs to stop pestering Katha to assuage his guilt.
