Good topic. Most regressive would hands down be ‘Maa hoon ne’ and all those bakwas around it. It’s time we stop glorifying motherhood, pressurize woman into thinking that the sole purpose of their lives is to retain motherhood, and her enormous lectures on Maa kya kya karti hai. Bhai tu mat kar, kaun bola hai. Hurrrrr.

Another one would be matka wala lines. 😲 No re no. Women are not born to play catwalk with all matkas in her head. 😵 There are times I dare you try putting a single matka on my head and I’ll see how you escape being killed by me. 😡 So yeah matka comes second.

For me it was when she found out about EMA of vanraj but still stayed in that damn house . Her dialogue :

There are too many instances to count... From the beginning to now... Makers women empowerment/ progressive show ke naam pe a lot of patriarchal ideas and regressive thought dikha rahi hai.. all wrapped up in a pretty package... Don't get me wrong, there are many instances of 'breaking the shackles of society' wale moments and stories.... But come on.....

Their titular character who is supposed to learn and relearn at every moment , many many times itni purani soch dikha rahi hoo ki poocho mat....
