"The only thing that is constant in this world is change"

The thing that doesn't grow is dead.

I wonder why it is shown such a big deal when a person changes according to time and situation. And when another person wants you to change, why is it always shown as wrong.

I'm a huge believer of individuality and independence. I love when people grow and become more mature. Coming to fiction, I love when characters grow. I'm a huge fan of those characters who grow and mature with time, not flat characters whose characteristics have been predefined and they remain the same throughout the show. Such characters are boring and have nothing to offer.

I would have been the happiest if Anupamaa didn't need another person to tell her where she was wrong. I would've loved it if Anupamaa could change for the better, if she could realise with time that her ways are not right, not everything that she does is perfect. The reason I still love Kalyani (Udaan) and recommend this show to all and sundry is the tremendous humaneness, being flawed, making mistakes, growing and maturing, and the ability to still be inspirational to many are not that we see in leads anymore. She wasn't perfect nor did she claim to be. Heck, even her love story was not nibba nibbi romance and not the main premise of the show. They both were fiercely independent, two different individuals in their perceptions, strong and yet one in their principles. They didn't always nod their heads to each other. I should stop now, otherwise it'll become all about Udaan😆

Anupamaa could've realised her mistakes and moved on from there. The concept of love shown here is not what it actually should be. I myself refuse to change according to people because I can never please others and what will remain of me if I keep changing according to others. But when it's in my own advantage and is the right thing to do at the time, what's the harm?

Why makers showed it as a bad thing? Love doesn't force you to change. But. You do change in love. You do get better. You do mature. The person who actually loves you wants to change your for the better. The true lover is actually ready to fight even you, for your betterment. A true lover isn't a yes man.

I can think of only one thing of why they did this. It's not like I had any expectations from them. I know their track record of butchering every track with their lack of competence.

I know why they changed Anuj back to meri Anu meri Anu is their need to keep anupamaa connected to Shahs😆

I don't think they are stupid enough to actually believe in the garbage they show🤣

Cheeku, what ever you have said, applies on ordinary human beings like us not on these two people Anu and Anuj

Anu jagat maa hai, devi maa hai.. Yeh toh pehle se hi perfect hai.

Inka toh mandir hi banega.

Okk.

Leave it.. I want to share something funny in this context..

Yesterday, I was explaining the summary of a poem to class 10th students. Poem was a conversation between poet and young girl about true love. No one except God loves you for your inner beauty or nature.

One of the questions was-- how would we come to know that it's true love. Imagine 10th class boy

I was about to answer - beta, mujhe toh pata na hai ki true love kya hota hai. But people says Anu - anuj love, true love, soul mates....... Blah blah

But I said to myself- sam, control.

I told him..

Bacche abhi board ke exams tak yaad kar le Divine love is true love, baad mei research karta rahiyo iss par😠.

Comma na pata lagta inko ki kahan use karna hai, true love pata karna hai.

Plz, bear with me.

Most of the time, I flow in emotions so jaana hota hai Japan pahunch jaati hoon cheen

Anuj said.. Hum organic love grow karenge.

Yaar, vegetables, pulses toh organic milte na hai.. Milte hai toh woh bhagwaan hi jaanta hai ki hote bhi hai ya nahi.. But yeh love grow karenge organic..

Or Anu di se pooch le bhai, orhganic meaning bhi pata hai teri Anu ko.

Aaj publicly announce karna pada inko ki yeh dono CA ko kitna pyar karte hai. Bolo..

Love grow kar rahe hai toh thoda sa inkobolo CA ke liye bhi grow kar de

It's not wrong, and you put it very beautifully.

But the fact is thar Anu doesn't want to change.

It's her core nature that she wants to keep everyone and everything together, it basically becomes a part of your identity, and that cannot be changed, how much ever we as audience hate that characteristic.

The essence of Anupama itself can't be changed.

There seems to be so much understanding and empathy in your perspectives...you have put it well. But expecting this level of nuance and finer thinking in this show...yes, you already know it.

The makers seem to be in a vicious cycle of butchering characters and then reviving them just enough so they can be butchered again, to keep it long-running.

Also, yes, whatever I have watched of Udaan so far, it felt so classy and wholesome to me too! I understand why you value it so much.

Bold: agree with the bold part.

The truth about core identity is that it's not easy to identify. What appears on the surface might just be a tip on the iceberg. We only see Anupamaa being a people pleaser which seems like a good thing for many and a bad thing for others. But if we try to dig deeper and try to analyse there might be many real issues inside her brain that are behind this characteristic. What seems like a cause might just be a symptom.

She isn't much educated. She grew up in an environment where she was made to believe that if she didn't please others, she will be left alone. She didn't feel safe. I didn't follow anupamaa much so I might be wrong but I saw somewhere that she was locked out of the house. She was financially dependent on others. The only thing that gave her a sense of importance as well as a sense of safety was her being needed. And for that she's ready to be a perfectionist. Her co-dependent personality needs a narcissist. This is why when Anuj starts to treat her harshly, she doesn't think about the actual issue. The thing that bothers her is that she might no longer be needed in Anuj's life.

But who am I kidding. They wouldn't have thought it at all. They just need to portray s bechari, innocent, perfect, great female lead🤣
