Maybe she’s a fake feminist or an ignorant and convenient one - most who claim to be feminists fall squarely within the second category, no matter their good intentions - male and female both. But her feeling this way about friendships, IMO - doesn’t make it so.

i agree. feminism certainly doesn't mean that we can't criticize women and that we have to believe that every woman out there is perfect. but imo it is a problem when women make sweeping statements like these and suffer from "i'm not like other girls" syndrome. if she wanted to share her personal experience, she could have worded it better. i'm copy-pasting troubley and i's other two posts discussing the matter just to add more context

Sweeping/Generalising statement ki jagah bol do ke 'I vibe better with guys'. That would have made the statement perfectly acceptable (IMO)

yup! doesn't suit her to be suffering from this syndrome and giving these kinds of answers at her grown age but here we are i don't expect people in the entertainment business to be strong feminists because their stance forever changes on the matter as per their convenience, but the least you can do is not make a generalized statement of this sort. the example you gave would have been better than her current answer because it speaks to her personal experience, whereas the answer she gave was a sweeping statement about all men being better friends than all women. the level of drama that a person brings into your life depends on their personality, not their gender identity

See, how it's about equality of the sexes and doesn't mean that one sex deserves more rights than the other one? Simple equality and no disparity on the basis of anyone's sex.

Yeah he has had it tough n also has pretty much held his own in most WKW, but just can't bring myself to root for him.

It's similar to priyanka na? These forced tough situations that r actually non-existent, so tht they gain public sympathy n support, as their personality is just not enough to make PPL root for them.
