I also found it difficult to root for them when they were being so insensitive and inconsiderate towards Rishita's mother. Their double standards were on full display. They would never have tolerated such behaviour towards one of their own. Rishita's anger about that was completely valid but sadly they later brushed the whole incident under the carpet.

Dhara's way of dealing with matters has not been shown to have evolved since the beginning. It's still the same as how she operated when she was 19. They should at least have others call it out and/or oppose it. It's just a case of terrible writing, for whatever reason.
