It's just randomness in my opinion. Just to put something in there unexpected to show as much as the Birlas seem like a "happy" family they aren't. Manjari in her illusions cannot see her darling nephew is now hitting Shefali? Anand doesn't know? Nistha doesn't know? Arohi doesn't see? Abhi I know is in robot mode so he just minds his own business.

🤣 if you saw whole of season 2 you’d understand the story ..that karthik and naira messed up their relationship majorly.. these are just fictional stories..that we have to make sense of and what it did show was that the marital happiness and stability that karthik got with Sirat he never got with Naira..that’s what implied in the story. A show is a story..so even if a character dies in the show ,.we have to take it as the person got ill and died..not that the actor wanted to move onto another show.. hope you understand what I’m trying to say..
