Why? Let them compete on the same level as poor kids. Those outsiders might be more deserving because something.

Middle class is also privilege when you're looking up from the level of the have nots.

And this is one of the main reasons the poor and underprivileged people of society always have a hard time catching up. And it’s not just and Indian problem. It’s a global problem. But we are getting into a socio-economic and political discussion here which I really don’t want to get into.

As for your example, sending your kid to coaching classes is one thing. But if you take your kid who wants to be a doctor and hand him a stethoscope and take him to a hospital or clinic to start practicing medicine without even having set foot in medical school then you are endangering lives, not to mention breaking laws. This is an extreme example, but not letting your kid work hard and earn their position is always harmful for them and for society.

She’s very cute. She has the kind of face that can probably fit into a diverse array of roles. Assuming she can act of course.

Tbh, I am over the nepotism discourse. Perhaps we need to spend more time on making sure the worst off in society aren't stuck there due to generational poverty instead of whinging about why people who are doing OK deserve an equal opportunity to do much better with fame and stardom.

And? If I had a job at my place of business which I think my kid could do, I'd offer it to him/her before any outsider.

There have been only a few people in the world who've done otherwise. Gandhi was one, and his children reportedly hated him.

Most parents who claim otherwise are either lying to themselves or to the rest. Parenthood is a strong bond.

What you said about holding a kid's hand at every point is not what I said at all. But it's Santhoshi's business and his money and his kid. He is entitled to do with it as he pleases within the law. Society has no claim on it.

My parents were idealist and sometimes I wish they weren’t. I have seen people get ahead in life because of their parents’ support. So I completely get where you are coming from. I have also seen parents supporting their kids too much and it ends up spoiling them and they refuse to work hard. It’s all about balance and also depends on the kid’s attitude.

She looks so real and not another one of the mill south Bombay girls.

If she can act well, good for her.

Bollywood producers and directors will definitely cast their kith and kin that is a reality but the problem now is every one looks the same. Nobody is authentic

I cannot differ from Jhanvi, Ananya, Shanaya or Khushi, though I do know their names😆.

Even a Sara or Suhana or even Nysa though they atleast look different, ape the same fashon sense and pouts and smiles.

None have the x factor or the acting chops

This girl looks good, hope she acts well
