Gul indeed had a last laugh. This show was languishing below 2 and the generational leap has gotten it to top 3 since many weeks now.

I don’t know in detail but I do know that there used to be a war zone in this forum everyday between 2 sets of fans. But Gul doesn’t care about all that. She thinks business and they should to be honest. Making TV shows is a business. If it gets them money, they will do whatever it takes and despite fans protest in the last days, Gul went ahead and did what works for her business and it got clicked.
