I was disappointed at Basit too because he decided to leave the county and leave his child with Aysha because he will never snatch a child from his mother. Ok but what about the father's role in a child's life? Are father's really not that important?? How did he choose to sentence himself to a life of loneliness and deprive his child from his presence like this? Why is he punishing himself like he committed the biggest of sins?

If the writer didn't want Aysha to come back to Basit simply because she loves him I would have preferred it if they actually separated and continued to raise their child together like mature and sensible people do.

I don't think I will continue to watch Pakistani dramas anymore, I don't believe they will ever be able to make a drama that is good from the start to the end.

Wait wait... He did what??? Okay great... Whoever thought this scenario was high... Why would Basit leave in the first place... Growing up without a mother Basit knows best how painful this situation is for any child. How can he put his own kid through the exact same thing? I don't understand Urdu so I didn't get the dialogues and what they were talking about but this just shocked me...

I can never understand how Aysha was able to easily forgive her mother but not Basit. Why is his sin considered greater than the mother's?

By the way during Basit's confrontation with her in her mother's house when he came to apologize few episodes back, did she say something about not being able to forgive him because he changed? I wasn't able to understand her point of view. Can someone explain her meaning?

In this episode she said he gave her the khula papers and gave her the option to leave him which means he finally changed! I don't understand how does this prove that he changed but him loving her and befriending her family for the past episodes doesn't mean anything.

Oh Krinya do watch the episode and tell me what you think, maybe you could see some points I didn't see 🥹

I can't understand Ayesha either but what I don't understand is how Qudsia gets away with everything she's done. She's ruined her daughters' lives with her greed but she wasn't once punished for anything... Always playing the card of the poor mother raising her daughters alone in a patriarchal society... Well raising your own children in poverty and amidst many difficulties doesn't justify your ego, greed and selfishness...

You know my definition of toxic is different than most of viewers , for example I never thought that Khaani is a toxic drama, while watching it I never rooted for Khaani to love Mir Hadi..in fact I thought he was delusional. But I was moved deeply by his change, his story was all about repentance and redemption and how no matter how far you think you have sinned , God is still all forgiving. I loved how Mir Hadi didn't just repent but also went on to get the punishment of his deeds. Words cannot describe how much I was spiritually moved by this drama.

On the other hand I found dramas like Mere Humsafar extremely toxic and I couldn't even watch it. A drama like Sabbat has one of the most toxic characters that made me leave watching it midway. I am talking about the one played by Sarah Khan.

I watched Parizaad to the end and I liked the first half of it more than the second. But I was amazed that none of the viewers thought that it was problematic of Parizaad to protect a wife killer to the degree he was willing to confess to the murder himself instead of letting his boss go to jail. He went on to inherit the fortune that was made by this boss by illegal means and no one patted an eye.

In the end I want to say that the decline of Pakistani dramas is caused by lazy writing. They will have a good idea but they don't know how to make it into a good drama.

Habs started good , the direction was excellent despite the editing errors but they just didn't know how to wrap it up so they fell into the trap of cliches.

Well in my case I just loved Mir Hadi... I know he was a psycho, deranged and we could see his complete demise throughout the first half of the drama... But FK nailed this role to the point that I couldn't bring myself to hate Hadi even before his change of character... Haven't watched the other dramas but I've read that Parizaad was good, though it'll take me a while to watch a drama with Ushna again... Her overacting in Habs was a bit too much for me. As for Habs, disappointment is the word that best describes how I felt about the last few episodes....

End of the day in a two character romance, you cannot just rely on crazy fan following of one actor or actress to make a show worthwhile. So many shows have held lot of promise, even up to recently Ishq e la really had some fantastic storytelling which again dragged and suffered from plot loss.

Basically storytelling on TV, cinema and books goes through phases which probably reflect society. Maybe we are in a society that upholds imbalance, toxic extremes, irrational behavior in name of love and fulfillment, superficial relationships that seek depth in artifice, loss of conscience and overwhelming need for external validation instead of internal reflection and introspection.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for some mindless Tv watching with some good looking leads - case in point, Mann Mayal where you are constantly face palming on the leads behavior, rolling your eyes at the irrational happenings, but there is some authenticity to the storytelling, some accountability to the world the director has created. In that suspension of reality, you are able to enjoy it, as long as it meets your sensibilities somewhere.

@bold..spot on👏

Talking abt mann mayal I abs loved the show , although I ff is a lot ..the domestic abuse was unbearable ..but the whole point of the story was that the boy couldn't take a stand for the girl, when she was even ready to elope with him..so this was his punishment , that he sees her suffer n go through hell ..she doesn't forgive him right till the end , and in the last scene if she didn't I would still cheer for her..so much she went through ..she reminded me of dur e shehwar ..the girls endured so much pain ..the parents were apologetic for choosing a wrong guy ..but how can she forgive the man who was responsible ?

Anyways I liked the hero very much (the actor ) ..I moved on to watch another show of his , alif ..I liked that one too..although that one is also ff worthy , a lot of it..these r some of the shows whose 2nd half was really good ..

The show in which Maya Alis character got to my nerves was diyar r dil 😆 Right till the end she couldn't understand who is trying to manipulate her and who's her well wisher..but then the show was extremely well made , it's one of my favorites...other characters compensated for her stupidity ...i cried a lot in many scenes ..specially I liked the old man , he really repented a lot ..plus the elder brother ..sometimes it's too late to repent and all that is left is guilt and regret ..but how to move on frm there is what diyar e dil was abt..its a lovely show..

Toxic dramas bole toh khani was abs a gem 💎 it was perfect in every way ..again I didn't see the end , bec I couldn't bring myself to watch the end ..never rooted for hadi and khani..but Mir hadis journey was worth a watch

I'd just say , they can try making some light hearted shows instead of tragedy , dukh , pain, jealousy , obsession , toxicity all the time.. .

Welcome to the club 😆 That's ayesha for you..there is no head or tail to her logic. They wanted to show ayesha as a self respecting woman but they didn't know how ..instead they made her a dumb woman who walked out on her husband multiple times and kept chanting divorce divorce for no reason.

Qudsia was let go bec women can never be wrong in these shows..they justified her greed

I'll watch it yaar only if it's uploaded on YouTube..

@bold - this is it!!! End of the day, the show should be able to convey what is it’s point?! What are you trying to say? Why are the characters behaving the way they are? That is all in the writing, no matter what kind of show you make - the makers should be able to convey that.
This is why these shows are entertaining, they stayed with us.

ITV a has no point, it’s track based, so each track has a point to convey, if you don’t like it, you can stop watching and come back to watch the next point if you like the leads. That’s why those shows the chemistry of leads allow them to run for years, or the tracks/maximum points being tried to convey are resonating with public.

We were deprived of this aspect in Habs completely! What was the show trying to convey? End of the day, why was Aysha behaving the way she was- insecurity? But the makers showed her to have a lot of self respect, for someone with so much self respect, to become so insecure, almost seemed like they made her into someone who could not handle love from her husband? It never made any sense. This is why most of us were sarrr khapaoing and lost interest. What is the point director bhaisaab??

I know Ayesha didn't deserve Basit after all her nonsense but I was actually happy a'and satisfied they got to stay together and raise their little princess. Btw that little girl is so beautiful and adorable 😍 I absolutely loved that scene where Ayesha was sitting on the stairs and she took his hand and then he put his head on her knees... Seeing such a beautiful scene again was beyond my expectations... It was so emotionally beautiful that kinda reminded me the old habs I fell in love with, wish I could understand the dialogue as well... Thank God Bano rejected Talal, if she had ended up with him, it would be a disgrace towards her own self... Also, like Ayesha didn't deserve Basit’s forgiveness and love, same goes for Zoya and Amir... Poor guys became victims of these toxic wives...🤦‍♀️ I mean I can get that at least Ayet, despite everything that happened, had a strong reason to stay together, which is their kid... but in Amir and Zoya's case, well I didn't root for them to get back together... Finally, if Bobby phupho can get married, there's hope for everyone 🤣 All in all, I think I'm gonna miss Habs, especially Basit's character and Ayet's chemistry, and I'll probably go back from time to time to replay my favorite scenes despite my disappointment for the show I was so dedicated to turning out this way...

PS : I remember how we had all been complaining about the pool scene not being fully shown in that episode, at least we got to watch the whole thing at the end of the drama 🤣🤦‍♀️

The scene when Basit lay down his head on Aysha's lap was extremely beautiful...the look of peace on his face like he finally found what he was looking for all his life, took my breath away.

The chemistry between Basit and Aysha will remain special no matter what, many of their scenes together give me butterflies and I just want to watch them again and again.

Even in this episode they looked gorgeous together .. when he gave her the flower near the pool and when he leaned so close to her while talking in the kitchen. By the way, when he leaned near her in kitchen and he had this intense look in his eyes he was saying you dont have to leave this house because I will leave forever, then he said while looking deeply into her eyes: Fahad will come in an hour..come upstairs. And for a second I thought he was inviting her to a last round of love making before they separate forever 🤪😆

It turned out he wanted to give her the house keys 😛

Abandonment is abandonment and it doesn't matter if it was from the mother's side or the father's side, Basit of all people should know that. Mature writing should have emphasised that the lesson that Basit has learned is that children deserve the love of both parents and getting a divorce doesn't mean that a child will be abandoned be either of them. He should have called Aysha to reassure her that he will never take the child from her and at the same time he will always be there for him/her even if he wasn't married to Aysha.
