Only 0.3...people don't value good content... 😣so sad yaar... Itv ke cringy and ghise pite content hi acche lagte hai kya logo ko... Etne saalo se wahi sab.... I really really hope katha gets watch by people by word of mouth it's such a good show

People watch in OTT mostly.TV is not watched by todays generation.

No yaar.. Majority in India still love to watch TV shows as compared to OTT. Look at the NO 1 n No2 shows trp. 2.7 and 2.6 are good numbers. But both the shows are hell irritating.👎🏼

But i am not surprised with Katha's first week's trp. Likhwalo Sony ke koi bhi show ki trp 1 bhi nahi hogi.😆 So 0.3 is good. 😆

Sony TV shows have good contents and now they are focusing on different types of shows. Like Katha,MasterChef and Shark Tank... These are all my type shows. 😃

May be but sony shows are not watched by those.Talking about the younger generation.See in my home my mother in law watched TV nobody else .Most houses only elders watch TV as they are not familier with OTT & Apps.Now she likes those Dukhiyari Bahu shows .Thats why they get high ratings.

Our generation hardly watch TV these days. Even if we watch anything ,we watch it in Apps. First season of SharkTank i watched it on SONY LIV. 

But i am watching Katha on TV. See i am a trp contributor. Woh 0.3 trp mei mera bhi contribution hei.😆

Most Indian general TV viewers, that too current pay TV subscribers DON'T decide/deliberate which hindi fiction soap or GEC they want to watch or not, based on some weekly TRPs list published by BARC after seeing some rise  or fall in numbers.So its better to watch & enjoy whatever we like or we choose to, till a fiction soap is on air by treating it as finite soap, irrespective of which channel it airs. 

Happen to read due to 2020/2021 lockdowns & covid impacts BARC couldn't increase sample sizes as planned initially. Guess they wanted to raise upto 2 lakh samples by 2022 for weekly data collection and expand to different regions, but still think its just  55,000 or 65,000+ samples (most of us watching TV from our house, who discuss in online forums are NOT part of these samples).

 

However even that's smaller for diverse tastes of Indian TV watching population size. BARC process and system of sample selection is still not automatic from what we read, it has manual intervention and thus a selected household signs some agreement with agency may be for 1 or 2 years, and knows in advance that their house setbox has BARC barometer linked for weekly TRP data collection, hence tampering chances are quite open.

Let agencies, advertisers & broadcasters fix this faulty system first. As audience TRPs is not much our botheration. 😛

SonyTV is mostly known as URBAN channel with lesser distribution outreach over SP & Zee, and its also NOT popular for its fiction soaps, above all 8.30 pm for hindi GECs is highly competitive time slot. Let channel promote KA well & use Indian Idol kind popular shows for campaigns.

I’m really getting into this show - it’s so different from everything else on tv.  Does Sony pull news quickly if the TRP is not good?  Or do they give time for shows to settle? Thanks
