I haven't seen it. Looked like a khichdi to me. Plus can't stomach paying for a Sooraj Badjatya film in 2022.

OFC it was a hit! 50 cr budget is a stretch, frankly speaking that looks inflated, and they will make a killing off TV rights as well, as older people primarily watch these kinds of movies. Collecting 43 cr at the BO is huge.
Think about it, Unnchai, a film led by 5-6 older people who had stardom in the least 3-4 decades, did far better than movies released by the top 90s superstars this year. That is insane. Most films did worse this year with bankable stars from this decade.

Disclaimer - haven't seen the movie and don't intend to But I did see the trailer Saiyaara was the very opposite of this— a tender love story...
