Sorry it's not Aashqui, it's QSQT ( Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak) which brought the melody back followed by Maine Pyar Kiya.

80s was definitely down than previous decades, but still it has very powerful and energetic music.

QSQT was a melody soundtrack but it has less impact at point only papa kehete hain became big , while Aashique entire album was a rage which changed the life of kumar sanu / nadeem shravan and started their era , Udit still was struggling after giving QSQT while kumar sanu became overnight star with Aasqhiue , udit rise started since 1994-95 during early 1990s udit said that he wasnt getting much importance due to heavy domination of kumar/nadeem shravan era
