Ab principal ko bol nahi sakti na... ki aapka school is just showoff...no substance 🤪. So she said best school yada yada.
But as per Virat, this is "the best school", very much required to get into good college - so Sai proves that her decisions for Savi have made her good enough to compete with the "so-called" best school ke students.
Affordability - This is also a factor, but not the only one. She wants to only give things that she can afford. So why does she accept child support? She is only conceding to Virat's right to contribute equally to Savi's upbringing. But her guideline is - she will still give Savi what she can afford only; and in that Virat can contribute half the expense - only because it is his right; not because she needs it. But if she agrees to something that she herself cannot afford, then Virat's contribution will obviously be more - which she does not want. There is that man-woman undercurrent seen in UM-Sai conversation. Men like Virat consciously or sub-consciously wield power over the women in their life, because they feel a sense of entitlement that they are the earners & contributors...and this is honestly very true in majority Indian households. Sai does not want that sort of imbalance to be imbibed into Savi. And she does not want to depend on Virat either.
Did I make sense?
very much made sense 👍
Yeah it is sometimes not the ego but to drive a point that both working parents contribute equally to the child. Even if they are not, they have to show the kids they are. A home maker mother contributes equally and more if you evaluate her efforts monetarily. So yeah sai did make a point there. Although her decision to join her in virat’s school might be emotional and personal. She could have conceded to virat if they were together or vice versa. I think if they were together sai would have still chosen his school for savi. Her arguments on middle class upbringing out weighed the monetary reasons for me!
