RRR is probably the only time she's done a flowerpot role in her career. I'm happy with her choices. Her character always contributes something special in all her films. But not everybody is lucky enough to get author-backed roles in a silver plate. Sometimes they take flowerpot roles to stay relevant, pay bills etc.

I think they'll make Alia's character more important in the Brahmastra sequels. Probably turn negative or undergo some kind of a metamorphosis. They won't waste her talent.

Hopefully they won't waste her talent...I still fancy the idea that she was meant to get close to Shiva and to stay with him...all this lovey-dovey seemed so kind of forced from her side and also her Shiva-Shiva caring...

Either Ayan took us for a ride or Alia...if it's the former, he should have made it clearer...if it is the latter, it was plain mean.

Btw, I doubt that he had/has a CLEAR vision about HIS Astraverse.

The only thing that was very clear is that Ranbir('s character) had to fall in deep love with Alia('s character).

It depends...maybe not...

Alia was front and center during the entirety of the Brahmastra marketing campaign. Won't be surprised if they rewrote some of the scenes to force fit her. She literally wouldn't leave the frame. And she somehow managed to get the maximum coverage out of the film. She joined in on the memes with her usual self deprecating schtick. Contrast that to Katrina or Deepika barely registering in the Tiger/Pathan teasers.

She has somehow gotten even Rajamouli to push her for the supporting actress noms. And she is barely in the film. She got what she wanted from both the films.

There is no one playing the publicity game like her at the moment.
