Govinda I feel burned too many bridges in Bollywood hence why his kids didn’t get big launches. Otherwise KJo would have been more than happy to do it, or YRF. Years ago there were rumors of his daughter getting launched in a Salman movie. Whether there was any actual talk or just rumors started by his team I don’t know but nothing came of it.

Came to say this. There’s rumours he was upset his kids didn’t get a big prestigious launch. And those rumours have been doing the rounds for years now.

I agree with the comments in this thread about his nose as long and thin. I'm not into body shaming but his nose really reminded me of one food item.

Govinda is an outsider. He’s not a BW insider so he should have been really careful about his words and burning bridges but he couldn’t let go of his ego. He could have reinvented himself and done multi-starer comedy movies or artistic movies to keep himself relevant in BW. Now, even OTT platform is available. His kids can still try their luck in OTT or Tv or open a production house to launch others or any other avenue liked to BW.

Sunny D and Bobby D.. they do faced the similar fate but they did Apne movie with their Dad by producing on their own.

Govinda is an outsider but he never learned how to professionally savvy, for lack of a better phrasing. The David Dhawan comedies worked for him in 90s so he never really tried something different. Years later one of his biggest beefs was with David Dhawan, which from what I remember was basically him complaining that Dhawan wasn't answering his calls. I think you are spot on about his failure to reinvent himself and not being able to let go of his ego. Or maybe he gave up too soon on the reinventing concept. He did a negative role in Kil Dil and also had a role in Happy Ending but both these movies flopped and he stopped working. I doubt he didn’t get any more offers after these flops. He was offered the role of Alia’s dad in Shaandar and turned that down too. Yes the movie was a flop but that could have opened the door to dharma for more regular work and relevance. I think that’s been part of his problem, not wanting to do character roles.

His nose is too distracting otherwise he looks good.
