Hera Pheri's USP is the trio of Akki-Sunil-Paresh, with neither of them, the film's gonna tank. It’s not like Bhool Bhulaiyyaa where there was only film with a solo hero in that franchise, so it was easier for Kartik to replace that one and his character was not a replacement either. But here I wonder how the hell Kartik will play the role of Raju who's supposed to treat Sunil as his friend that's around his father's age in real life😕

They didn't bother to make a sequel when it could've worked.... now after so many years they're trying to revive it.

I hope they are rebooting the franchise and not re-casting just Raju's character. In that case, it may still work.

Paresh, Suniel etc all have grown old. Also, it would be impossible to revive the entire old supporting cast, which is the USP of Hera Pheri films.

And without great script, the film will meet the same fate as the success of sequels like Hungama and Welcome

Also, I hate how there is literally no concept of continuity in BW's sequels and franchises.

Kisi ko kabhi bhi recast kar lo, ya character ko ignore kar do completely without any explanation....

Hera Pheri duology are not like Housefull and Golmaal franchise. There has to be some continuity man.

Didnt the sequel to Hera Pheri get delayed so much in the first place coz Akshay didnt wanna be part of it? I thought Suneil had mentioned that years ago, I kind of remember something like that. I may be wrong though.

The last one was horrible. I only like the first one. Same with Rohit Shetty's Golmaal. He shouldve left it at the first one.

Hera Pheri is a cult classic that brought back the era of comedy genre unlike that lame Bhool Bhulaiya which was a subpar south remake, bad move on Kartik's part.

Honestly Akshay is old now, we all need to move on. I am here for yummy Kartik ❤️ he’s going to do so well and refresh the film for the new generation
