Some of the victims and their stories:
Actor Lee Ji-han, who appeared on the second season of Mnet’s male K-pop competition “Produce 101,” and Kim Yu-na, who worked as a cheerleader for the LG Twins and Kia Tigers, were among the 156 victims who died during the Itaewon disaster on Saturday night.
Lee and Kim were both 24 years old.

One of the 26 foreign victims of Saturday night’s Itaewon tragedy has been identified as the niece of a US politician -- Rep. Brad Wenstrup.
Anne Gieske (20)
Saturday was one day after Anne Gieske’s 20th birthday.
A nursing student at the University of Kentucky, she was in Korea for an autumn semester study abroad program.

Jinath (26) -Sri Lanka
He had married his wife, Fatima, in July. It was a love match, and they had struggled for eight years to win the approval of their parents.
Finally, after Jinath came to Korea, both families accepted the marriage, and they were expecting a child.
Jinath died in the Itaewon crowd disaster on Saturday. Now Fatima, who had been planning to study in Korea, has only one request: “Please send my husband home.”
“She doesn’t have more words than just asking for her husband’s body to perform the last funeral rites,” Ifham, a close friend of the deceased who is helping with the repatriation of the body, told The Korea Herald from Sri Lanka. "We are trying and coordinating with the Sri Lankan Embassy in Seoul but the process is taking time."
Foreign nationalities victims identified include China and Russia, US and Japan, France, Australia, Norway, Austria, Vietnam, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka.
