I supported SA in all matches but against India & Pak mostly. My support was to India first, if India didn't play - then next comes Asian team - either Pak or SL, with Pak being first choice, after Sanath's batting 😆

2007wc I knew from first... this team was gonna lose bad, they had literally 4 openers in the top 4. Sehwag, Ganguly, Tendulkar, Uthappa - they got carried away with the series won against SL back home just before the WC & the qualifiers wins.

Oh, I forgot all the drama with Chappel, Jammy, Tendulkar, Ganguly. It was a mess of a team and thank god BCCI gave the captaincy to a non-legend for the Wt20 in SA. Not that Rahul or Sachin would have takan up the captaicy if offered.

In a way, they also spoilt it for SA in that tournament.

Their victory over SA in the league phase prevented SA from carrying two points forward. Add those two points to SA's tally, and they would've probably played NZ (a team they had already beaten in the Super Six) in the semis rather than Australia.

The luck just dont support them otherwise 1999 world cup was meant for them only.
