My first reason to get married was that I felt alone and needed companionship. When you are a kid, everybody is around you. As you grow up, people drift away and you realise the need for a special person to share your life with. Everybody seemed to be a unit while i felt alone, even in my own house, seeing my parents, my siblings with their spouse, i felt separate from them. I needed companionship. So I wanted to get married. That was my reason.

Anupama literally put up a message on STAGE, so basically her message is "I want to have physical relations with Anuj", which is frankly even more embarrassing for her children etc. than it would be in Pakhi's case if we're giving it this physical relations meaning. I understand if you can't be open about being physical with someone or your physical needs to your parents (although people should, in most families in India it's still not accepted so okay let's even give that the title of besharmi if we have to), but to not tell them you want to get married? I don't think even our otherwise toxic and regressive relatives/ acquaintances would think this. I doubt if someone said I want to get married their first thought would be "she wants to have physical relations".

Guys, on a side note - some people have to be trolling right? This can't possibly be real😆

Agree. it is not besharmi to tell your parents u want to get married. We are not in 15th century. This is 2022

Why it is not besharmi .pakhi is telling and telling again meri shaadi kardo of course it is beshsarmi

Maine aaj tuk nahi dekha koi girl itni open ho ke itni frank hoke parents se apni shaadi ki baat karti hai

Jo pakhi itna frank ho ke itna open hoke and tna zid kar rahi hai meri shaadi Kara do use beshsarm Mahi kahege to aur kya kahege

Hum log apne parents ke saamne openly frankly honeymoon ki baat nahi karte

Anupama also told everyone that she wants to marry Anuj. She said that coz she loves him and wanted to spend her life with him.

Same way Pakhi loves Adhik and Pakhi wants to marry him so they can live together. And she has to say that again and again because her parents are against it. If they agreed the first time she said, then Pakhi wont have to repeat it.

She announced it on stage on national television... then went and talked for 3 straight episodes in front of her 'parents' that her decision was right and she will marry Anuj...

Anupama didn't have to do zid because she was staying in Anuj's house without marriage and everyone accepted that because Anupama stayed within her maryada, whatever that means. Yahaan Pakhi ko akele mein Adhik ke saath rehne ke liye shadi karni padegi so of course she us insisting.

I don't think anyone is being besharam here, but if you insist, I say Anupama is the most besharam. I love it when my parents express affection for each other despite having been married for so many years. But if my mom comes to my college and does nibba nibbi wala pyaar in front of all my friends man will I have a few things to say.

Am I the only one who forwards all Anupama-Anuj scenes? I can't take their crap romance seriously at all.

What about the chichora pan that Anupama Mummy and Anuj Buddy are doing in front of college kids who are their daughter's age ...How would a kid feel if their Mom and step Dad behave the way Anu and Anuj are behaving in front of their friends that too in College??
