If you don't mind, can I ask you a question? Something that always made me curious - why Ghum is no.2 in TRP race...it has captured the audience in some way. In that spirit, can you tell me what your family likes about this show...what is their favourite part of the show that keeps them addicted?

Look we trp audience specially my family aren't actually attached to any characters, we just watch for time pass and we move on with characters without holding grudges. I can totally understand online viewers sentiments because ghum isn't an easy show to watch, u need to have big hearts sometimes because the emotions and toxicity they show here is very close to reality and it hits home without preaching anything like Anupama ka 10 pages ka lectures.

Keeping aside some trp based drama ghum is purely based on emotions and characters emotions are shown very close to reality. Be it BK, Sonali or Omi, this characters are very real, tough matriarch, popcorn entertainment like Sonali and Karishma.

For online viewers Sai the rebel is favorite but for our family the drama creater are favourites and they are Virat, Pakhi and BK(plz Don't judge me in morality basis)

What ghum tops on majority is emotional side and more focused on Jodi ka emotional bond than physical bond

I guessed some of the things you pointed out..the reason why this show is a success. One - although the toxicity is highly exaggerated, it is very much a realistic part of a lot of Indian families. Two - the emotional side of the show. Ghum has a lot of emotional moments and those moments hit home. That's the reason makers don't bother spending 5 minutes on the plot or logic.... because people watch for the emotions..this is what I had thought too.

Yes Pakhi has to go on depression and she needs to be weaker so that she will be Virat's duty and he have to leave his love, that's the general perception me and my family have.
