It's no secret the Dilip Kumar is a bigger superstar then Amitabh
His name comes 2nd
Suggest some good movie of this guy. Let me check out who is he.
He is a respected biggest legend of Hindi cinema, not just some guy.
Ganga Jamuna, Devdas, Yahudi, Mughal e Adam, Koh e noor and Shakti are some of his memorable films among many.
since you like AB SR and I only seen some as most his movies are not when I was even born same with AB sr but he’s known because he still does Movies and yes AB is known not just in India but other countries as well. I will say SHAKTI( as it as both dilip kumar and AB in it) and dilip kumar from what I heard was applauded as the better performer . Anyhow watch this

ufff..

Among the more than ten movies made about Devdas I - till now - only have watched the 1955 version (Bimal Roy, Dilip Kumar) and the 2002 version (SLB, SRK). I also read the novel.
However, deciding "who was the best in role of Devdas" is not my cup of tea as the two versions are absolutely different and did need a very different performance. My impression: Both were the best in the respective director's vision.
Bimal Roy's Devdas needed a restrained performance and Dilip delivered. I loved how the novel was adapted in this black&white movie.
SLB's movie wasn't an adaptation but his own vision based on the novel with a lead that had to maintain his position as title-character among four strong woman-characters. It was more a theatrical movie event, in almost every way a larger-than-life vision, a visual treat and targeting the heart rather than the mind. I read that Govinda and Salman had been contacted to play Devdas but declined. I think SRK gave a very good emotionally intense performance.
In my archive I've kept the review Baradwaj Rangan wrote about the 2002 Devdas which reflects well what I'm thinking myself:

Of course Original one
Dilip Kumar 😳
Shahrukh Khan trumps everyone else by a mile.

Dilip Kumar himself acknowledged that ANR's portrayal of Devdas is outstanding. It's true. ANR got it right. Devdas was a loser while most of the other actors portrayed him as a lover.ANR played it with so much subtilty.Even the direction and dialogues were so good and realistic and not dramatic and OTT like SLB's Devdas.
I just watched the 1953 Telugu movie and Dilip is right in praising Akkineni Nageswara Rao...I found him "livelier" than Dilip Saab.
Meanwhile, I've also watched Dev D with Abhay Deol playing Dev.
Honestly, I find that all the four performances I've now watched, are excellent.
Dev D is one of my favorite movies so I’ll pick Abhay
Why does lead actor Ranveer look more like a side actor in Dhurandhar? So I was under the impression that Ranveer was playing the main lead in...
