Anushka has done cute innocent characters years back and after doing strong characters back to back her image got changed.You are right.Sita is not a weak woman.She was strong enough to protect herself from Ravan.

When anuksha's Sita challenges Ravaan it will be worth watching

I agree she does not look very innocent or vulnerable but the character is standing alone and facing villan too which anushka can do well as proved in bahubhali

Anushka has totally different image after Bahubali, Nagavalli, Arundhati, Bhaagmathie, Vaishnavi, Rudramadevi etc.

She looks like a fiery warrior best suited for roles like Ma Durga or Kali or warrior queen or fiery Draupadi or action heroine or lady boss or lady don even.

Can never imagine her as someone like Sita especially in Agnipariksha or exile scenes once she is banished after doubts cast by others on her character.

I never said Sita is a weak character but Anushka has no vulnerability that Sita requires in certain scenes where she does tolerate unreasonable doubts by praja on her character and agrees to give test of her purity.

Make with new casts i will say this only.

No one. This is because all of them will come with a baggage and that will bespoil the revered characters being enacted.

Its better and wiser to go for theatre actors who are lesser known but talented and disciplined.

Yes,her image changed,so people expect her only in bold roles.But she can do sweet roles too like she did years back.During those times nobody could imagine her doing strong roles.But she proved them wrong with Arundati.

Nobody, it is not about the actors

it is the director and writer. mythologicals are not a joke that anybody can make them.

who thought prabhas, rana or ram charan will look convincing before those movies came.

prabhas's elder baahubali was pretty much based on rama and made an impact, now why is this looking bad

if director is not immersed in it, it doesnt matter who is cast

but having said that, these ranbir, vraun, current bw actors etc will look utterly ridiculous

better to cast hindi theater actors

the hindi serial version and in telugu there were several film versions called seeta kalayanam and sampoorna ramayanam, (these were very artistically made), also lava kusa are all time classics, they look fabolous and evoke the feeling even now with limited tech, some actors are unknown and all fit so well
