Yet to watch all performances for this week but considering nia did a kathak act i was interested to watch it since i am learning kathak too. Got to say yes learning it in a few days to perfection is close to impossible riaz is paramount and can take years to get even the basics done but i am disappointed over madhuri not going into technical criticism on this when she herself is a kathak dancer. And scores were too high 😒😒😒

Gashmeer was good rest will comment later

I felt the finishing was bit unclean & some of the common movements, like the Kran & the wrist movements felt bit forced in Nia's dance. She was struggling with the bols (the tatkaar parts) though I'd let go of that since it's was only 4 days and it takes time to practice out the footwork but the handwork was bit clumsy in certain portions & could've been more better.

I remember when Mouni did Kathak in a prior JDJ season, she did comment/critique the posture & the comment back than about Mouni not being a Kathak dancer when she indeed was & has mentioned in her IVs & performed in several shows was just randomly felt. 😆

Amruta's performance was nice but it didn't look much like a dance😕 I just don't think it was worth 30 points

Glad that someone else thinks the same. Her previous performances have been so much better than this.
this season the scoring is even more off than the previous seasons

The performance that deserves a full score doesn’t get one but the undeserving performances are served with a 30 on a silver plate

Back then the comments felt real. I remember that statement of madhuri and now I feel how raw her comments were considering that she did not know about mouni’s experience hence spoke in that manner.
Now the judges are handed over a script of what they have to say after each performance. I don’t feel the judges have any say at all in their ‘feedback’

The scoring is so bad this season. 🥱 Gashmeer is worshipped by the judges. 🤢 He didn't deserve a 30 this time.

Gunjan is a great dancer but I am tired of the same dance form. It's time she tries some other forms too. Though I liked her performance today. She deserved the 30 and she deserved the golden chair more than Amruta.

Amruta: I felt it was technical in some parts & one place I did see that she blanked out before dancing back in. The Maa Bhavani part was nice but later the circling felt out of sync. Some places felt like she was blanked out or tired. Seen much better Gondhal & Jogwa dances, IMO. 😕

Paras: Lol, it felt so technical and overdone at certain places. 😆Shwetha's solo was more graceful tbh. Some elements felt similar to Rubina-Sanam's act.

Gunjan-Tejas: It was nice performance, but I felt sync was off in certain places and certain movements were similar to prior dance movements. Though Gunjan did bring some grace while doing the one of the major Bihu movements in the earlier bit. I liked the the "tere bina nahi meri shayad zurpai ki" but later got bit more technical/hip hop. Cartwheel felt timing was off. Ending was sweet.

Faisal-Vaishnavi: Man, what a confidence to start the performance! Sync was slightly off but man good pick up! Cool movement when Faisal glides Vaishnavi & picks her up before she stands. This is a complete paisa vasool ferociousness displayed as opposed to what Amruta did wherein I felt she blanked out. Kalaripayattu, with armor involved was bit off sync but the energy was still there. I liked the ending!

Zorawar: I liked his enthuaism & energy. Performance wasn't good but his efforts were appreciated. He tries & feels more genuine than Shilpa in terms of putting up an act, tbh.

Dutee--I liked the effort to show the energy for the dance. Sync was somewhat off at some places. Though I feel there's some scope for improvement as she did look bit exhausted at times. Though it was nice to see her for the time she was here & hope for the best for her future endeavors.
