Why they talking WW only and not the regional number. I heard Hindi belt isn’t much but yes regional( south n overseas is strong)

I suggest you do a quick search about the cholas and pandyas and familiarize yourself with the names so that you can enjoy the movie better. Hope you will love the movie!

What a comeback for Aishwarya! Thrilled for Mani. What a comeback for him too.

What I love about reading all the audience reviews and the professional ones is the comments that no one could have played this role but Ash.

SLB should have cast her in then numerous projects he's done since they last work together. She is made for these type of roles.

So I guess I am the only one who didn't find Aish irreplaceable.On the contrary I really thought a more capable actress could have done much more with the role.She lacked expressions wise,for me Trisha was subtle too but not lacking expressions on her face.

And unfortunately it is not playing in any theatre close to me in Hindi. Now I wish I spoke Tamil or Telegu. I would have loved to watch Aish on the big screen one last time

Just my feeling. She’s refusing scripts left right and centre. Refused DP’s role in Jawaan, Tamannahs role in Rajinikanth’s next film Jailer ( this one is another huge film ). I think she only agreed for this film because it was Mani Ratnam.

Loved the film. I am super excited for the second part now.

I felt all in alll Mani Ratnam did a good job, not an easy feat for sure.

For me I was most impressed by Jayam Ravi, I had my doubts about his ability to pull of such a role, but he did a fabulous job and gave the role the require dignity and respect.

Karthi, Trisha were a close second, just perfect for their respective roles and Trisha my god looked so beautiful. Loved her BG score.

Aishwarya is indeed a queen, she looks breathtaking but we have seen better performances from her.

Aishwarya Lekshmi as Samudra Kanya did a good job too, I did not expect much from her either but she played her role well.

Vikram did not impress either, something was off.
