Most members here belong to late 80s,90s.
Some are ealry 2000s, if the forum was diverse and active with young members we would have got discussion on new topics but we oldies are stuck in nostalgia
Because they were good, the songs and movies were not that bad ... Current bollywood will never admit their original are just bad thus need remakes.. Maybe need some funding 😆
ya that's better for everyone's sanity..to get stuck in the good old content..coz new gen is stale
I honestly find 90s to be weak era and if I left aside nostalgia of childhood, I would hardly pick few good films we had and which have good repeat value and story.
Satya, Mohra, Gupt, AAA, Damini, Ghayal, Sarfarosh, Vaastav, Fire, Godmother, Saaz, Zubeida, Rangeela, Darr, Kabhi Haa kabhi na, Baazigar, Mrityudand, Yeshwant, Krantiveer, Agnisakshi etc were good. Rest are all romantic dramas with same formula and same type of music.
If only Indian restaurants and weddings in USA would stop playing BW music from the 90s and the aughts.
Felt quite like I made that list ! I would have also added Bandit Queen , Shool , Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin , Shiva , Daud , Dil Se off the top of headOriginally posted by: atominis

I have a theory on this. The year the owner of the restaurant immigrated, all the songs from that year plays at their restaurant
What’s the best era according to you ?
Good list. I would say David Dhawan comedies were shit and only dance and energetic screen presence of immensely watchable Govinda saved them.
Also, I forgot to mention but Khalnayak, Sadak, Bombay, Zakhm, 1947 Earth, Agneepath, Chachi 420, Salaam Bombay, Daman, Dushman, Border etc were also awesome.
Otherwise romantic fare of 90s is passable. JJWS was also a good coming of age flick.
