I think it was during a discussion between Amba and Satyavati.

And her obsession I think he found out after his sister got married Amba left a love letter or card under his pillow .

I too haven't watched the initial episodes properly and usually skip Dev Amba scenes 😆 so I don't know much about this. Never knew he took care of her father. Do you remember the episode no. or something?

It's that epi where satyavati asks Amba if she and Dev had some past their she just mentions in convo that he took care of her ailing father. Then satyavati and Abhimanyu decide to play cupid and Dev and Amba are sent on a date.

so i think Amba took Dev's care n empathy towards her as Love.

cause other than that i dont see any kind of emotions 9n dev's face seeing Amba's advancements.. he literally looks like "kaha fas gaya.. koi bachao yaar"

How come Dev took care of her father? Was he his caretaker or something? Were the Raichands so poor?

And was it Satyavati who sent them on a date?😲 I thought Priya might have done it. Means Satyavati also wants them together 🤔 waise what happened after that? Didn't his mom do a follow up on the date?😆 sorry I fast forward a lot of scenes so might have missed some things

It's obvious he doesn't have feelings of any kind for her, just tolerates her for whatever reason. Maybe promised Amba's dying father or something. What worries me is Dev is selfless and if he feels in future that by marrying a girl half his age he is going to ruin her life he will definitely say yes to Amba's proposal.

@bold- I don't want this to happen 😭 but going by his character it is very much possible. He may try to push her away from his life in whatever way possible.

Also if Kanika and Yogesh frame her he may remove her even though knowing about her innocence just so that she may stay away from his life. Though I really don't want these things to happen.

Vidhi needs to be really strong to convince him

It was Amba's father who worked as a partner or something along with raichands and became financially broke and Dev then stood by them and helped them out but unfortunately couldn't save Amba's dad and eventually Amba had to work to fulfill responsibilities of her family. About Date Satyavati told Dev that whole family will meet with Amba and chitra's family in some club and when poor Dev reached there he found out that it was just a meeting between the two of them so all he did was ate. He later confronted his mom too about the date fiasco. Thats it after that satyavati is keeping quiet about matchmaking.

now that looks scary as hell... Dev agreeing to marry Amba would shatter Vidhi's heart.. and if it happens post Dev's realization n confession i am scared for Vidhi's even more..

hope Dev handles it all as maturely as he had done so far
