Yeah but in the pink villa interview Ranbir did say that he was excited about the new actors coming in and new energies being on set for part 2. And Ayaan also elaborated on it and spoke about how generous Alia and Ranbir are, and how for them the movie is bigger than anything else. So yes I assume it is happening, the are just keeping it under wraps for now coz maybe they haven’t gotten their dates yet.

Disney will do what it thinks will make it more money, no matter what Ranbir or Alia or KJo or even Ayan think about it. That's been their pattern throughout their existence.

But DP fans need to calm down. If Ayan doesn't want her, there's a reasonable chance she won't be in it.

And DP was clearly shown in part 1 people aren’t assuming or making it up. She definitely is a part of this trilogy but they just don’t wanna reveal it yet maybe they wanna play on the intrigue factor or maybe it’s not completely finalised yet we don’t know will have to wait and watch.

But more than the producers I think it’s the director’s vision when Ayaan decided to create this multiverse it would obviously mean that it would have multiple stars in it like the avengers and since the first movie is doing well and the idea resonates with the people so I guess even the producers want it to be bigger and better.

I agree multiple actors is better for the franchise.

My point was Ranbir or even Ayan would have no choice if Disney put their foot down. They even sue small-timers for copyright violation. Random fan fic people even. They own the rights on Astraverse. Which means if they decide no DP, there will be no DP even if Ayan wants her. And if they want DP, Ranbir or Alia's generosity will have nothing to do with it.

Disney doesn't give two hoots about anyone's vision. They care about the bottomline.

But since you’re not a fan I can understand the hesitation but I think it’s better to trust the vision and maybe it might surprise you. I didn’t expect to enjoy the movie but I did despite its flaws, I’m invested in the whole idea and I want it to grow and be bigger and better.
