Yes, I was originally talking about the office call but can we also have one for when Basit eavesdrops on Fahad and Ayesha’s phone convo? ☺️

He wants to be the most important person in her life and the fact that Ayesha is confiding in Fahad rather than him must be hurting him like anything. He has shown resentment at Ayesha accusing him of being heartless and tried to correct that opinion of hers by trying to explain to her his side of things in terms of Sadia's abandonment. He wants her to tell him what is bothering her and is getting angry that she isn't doing that.

Also we see that he has grown used to the small gestures of affection that Ayesha shows him through the many ways she takes care of him. He no longer stops her from pouring him juice or bringing him tea by saying that this is not your work. Rather when she is leaving after bringing him the tea, he wants her to sit and have tea with him. And perhaps he is also realising that she too needs to be shown some affection from his side which is why he brought her the flowers. Unfortunately the timing wasn't right for that.

As for book recommendations, tell me more about what type you want to read? Light romance, intense melodramatic stuff or something classic?

As usual you give me what I want to read ♥️

I liked how you said ( he wants to be the most important one in her life and he used to her small gestures) actually to me it's considered the initial stage before love blossoms.

I don't know if you have ever read thousand splendid suns?! It's actually my type of novels (high drama and reality that I was totally emotionally invested in this novel reading it without stoppage) and unfortunately haven't found any similar ones.

You are spot on with your observation Twerp. What Basit feels towards Ayesha at present is a sense of ownership. We first saw a glimpse of this when he catches her in the job interview after marriage. Keeping in mind Basit’s past issues and the fact that she’s the only family he’s left with now, this sense of ownership has magnified.

He wants to be understood by Ayesha which is why he tries explaining himself to her.

For me, Ayesha caressing Basit’s face was the most affectionate scene till now. I think in a way he craves that affection both emotional and physical from Ayesha. As a child who felt abandoned by his mother, he would never tolerate another man sharing her affections or even attention.

See love or no love there is no doubt basit has accepted this marriage whole heartedly nd he is actually making efforts to make their relationship normal...

So his reaction is more cause of feeling of betrayal nd again deep lying abandonment issues..

Situation is not helping either... ayesha and fahad are being caught discussing things secretly nd behaving odd when basit comes ..

I think after this track once he'll make peace with his past nd come to terms to trusting his partner, then only we'll see their relationship moving towards love..

And in end this trust issue is not one sided.. both needed to trust each other.. so hopefully this track will deal with their trust issues nd insecurities 🤞

Totally agree dear ♥️ this track will help them with their insecurities and trust issues and hopefully they would come closer. So excited to the outcome of this track

I actually like him best as both Armaan and Basit. Armaan was so likeable, the ideal man a girl could ask for. However, I felt his character to be very uni-dimensional. I think the female lead in the show didn’t do him justice, there was something lacking in their chemistry.

Basit on the other than is a very layered character. Like someone already said, he’s complex without being toxic. And yes, he can be both firm as a boss and soft as a lover. He’s solid and dependable but can also be emotional and vulnerable. He can be possessive and charming. I’m waiting to see his protective side towards Ayesha 🥰

Any guesses on what could prompt Basit to show his protectiveness towards Ayesha? Let’s cook up some scenarios! Also do you think Basit and Ayesha have kissed or made out? ☺️

I hope I have tagged the right people 🙈 Others please feel free to join in❤️

Basit is instinctively protective towards Ayesha. From the very first encounter they had, he felt a connection with her. Not romantic but he related to her. When he was taking her interview and she said that her family was going through a financial crisis, you could see the words had an immediate impact on him since he was in a similar situation at that time. His very offer of the job was a sign of protectiveness.

Then the way he gave her the advance of her salary, without a second query, was again, a sign of protectiveness. As an employer, but nonetheless, it was there. Then ofcourse, the big scene of punishing Jawad for spreading malicious gossip..Sorry bolo Ayesha ko!!! Woah!

Then the offer of the ride home. Again, that question, ghar pe koi mard nahi hai...for a second there was almost a worried concern in his voice, just thinking that Ayesha is running the household on her own.

Post-marriage he had retreated away from her...but even then the balm scene showed his concern.

This being said, now time for the assumptions....I think Basit will find the idea of Ayesha at her mother's place itself something that worries him since he has seen how Qudsia had sent Ayesha back when the girl had wanted to stay at her mother's place for just one night. He won't be able to have her in that house for long because of his need to protect his wife. So even if he is angry at her, he will bring her back with him.

I think I tagged you to a post where I had made this assumption that Basit might have kissed Ayesha the night before that weird breakfast scene. Ayesha seemed to be expecting warmth from him and is all decked up for his eyes. And he just ups and leaves, and there was clear disappointment on her face as he calls Karim for his coat. 😆

I don't think that ayet have anything till now

Especially after the last aired episode (I don't know if this is the effect of the breakfast scene or what?!) but I think if something happened then ayesha would treat basit in different way and not giving the feeling of her being like stranger not real life partner.

I want his protection in the Zoya subject where she considered it's the last thing to tell basit

I want fahad to tell him everything after what happened then basit interferes without anyone knowledge ( especially ayesha) and at the end he resolves the issue coming in confrontation with basit knowing all what he has done for her family and imagining basit looking at ayesha with a blaming sad eyes

Afterwards she would try to talk to him endlessly till he told her he couldn't live alone in this house so she should be back but he still couldn't forgive her

Then we would see her daily interactions in this situation with angsty mixed with cuteness and light scenes as well.

They will remain like that for some period ( maximum possible one as I wish) till something happens and she gets angry then he will confess his love for her and she couldn't say anything in return still being in very happy status

Returning to her home to tell bano everything and while entering the home she would hear bano has a conflict with his mother (may be about fahad as her mother may try to convince bano to marry him and bano assuming her mother didn't change after Zoya issue) saying what will you do mother? You would buy me to fahad like you previously made with basit to give him ayesha?!

Then boom, ayesha would never return back and will remain in shock! That's all from my side and I will tell you the rest later 🤣!!

Oooh!! Okayyy...it is never a good idea to recommend something similar...so I will recommend something that really draws in the emotions but presents reality that transcends the realistic. I will suggest you give Garcia Marquez' novels a shot. One hundred years of solitude. It was a book I found to be unputdownable.

And another recommendation will be Manuel Puig's Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Anyone who likes films, will love this novel.

Both of these are books in translation of course.

Absolutely! Ayesha caressing Basit's face was truly a most beautiful moment. Especially considering in the previous episode he had cried as he remembered the helplessness and loneliness that had gripped him as a child when he would wake up at night from a nightmare and call out for his mother who wasn't there. That Ayesha was there to catch his hand and comfort him as he woke up from a nightmare showed that something had changed in his life for the first time since his mother had left him at the age of 9.
